Cool night despite heat wave
Pros:

This was in the context of a heat wave. The room had air conditioning. It was very clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. There was a small empty refrigerator in the room and an electric kettle with teabags and instant coffee with powdered milk. The hotel provided drinking water from a tap with glass bottles in the lobby. The bed was very comfortable. The window can be opened. The curtains were opaque. It was quiet (on the courtyard). 2 elevators. Nice breakfast area. Pleasant lobby. Easy to checkin and checkout.

Cons:

It was bare minimum: no hair conditioner, no free slippers. no free chocolate candy on the bed ;)

Gepflegtes Hotel in der Fussgängerzone von Rouen
Pros:

Der Name "Mercure" steht für einen Standard und den hat das Mercure Rouen Cathédrale erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind sehr ordentlich, da Frühstücksbüffet reichhaltig und das Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse in der Fussgängerzone.

Cons:

Die Dekoration des Hauses ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die dunkelblau gestrichenen Decken und Wände der Gänge erinnern eher an die 70-er Jahre und die mit Rauhputz behandelten Wände der Zimmer sind zwar pflegeleicht, aber heutigen Standards nicht mehr wirklich entsprechend.
