"Cleaning staff shortage" was the message that showed at our door thw first day - after that noone cleaned the room, no clean towels ...
Great find. We came in for a concert at Camden and everything was great, from the staff to the location and the parking lot next store. The restaurant and wine bar was exceptional as well and an added bonus. We will be back!
I would say more king size beds, but I get that some of the rooms are too small for a bigger bed.
Location near historic Philadelphia sites and restaurant district.
Loud plumbing, loud traffic, loud air conditioning
Quaint historic hotel near river and Elfreth's Alley. Comfortable room with soaking tub and balcony. Amazing staff. Great experience at wine bar too.
Small issue with shower but staff remedied promptly
The location is great, the room was spacious, and the staff is amazing.
Not much not to like.
Our room was absolutely beautiful. It had these stunning exposed brick walls that gave it so much character, felt way more unique than your standard chain hotel. The WiFi was fast and reliable too which was great since I had to log into a few work calls during our trip.
We chose Penn’s View Hotel because we wanted to see the historic sites without dealing with massive crowds. Everything from the Liberty Bell to local Old City cafes was just a short walk away. The continental breakfast in the morning was a great, convenient bonus before heading out for the day.
Loved the vibe of this hotel. It is super close to Independence Hall, which made our sightseeing itinerary a breeze. After a long day of walking around the city, coming back to such a comfortable, laid back room was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.
Perfect spot for a history buff. We loved our stay at Penn’s View Hotel. You can literally walk to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall in about ten minutes max. The location right off Market Street makes it super easy to explore Old City. Room was cozy and clean, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Philly.

Nice location.
No dislikes but your maintenance guy was rude for walking in front of me while I was at the front desk without saying excuse me, then bummed me as he walked away. I said something to him and he acted like he didn’t understand. Look at the video of the incident. I’m the person that changed rooms after the AC unit started smoking and making a loud noise. Paid $80 for an upgrade.
Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. I really loved the private patio and bathtub. The restaurant downstairs was lovely. Overall a great base for a short visit to Philly!
A bit pricey but on par with prices in the area.
