Perfect Location!
Pros:

Staff was wonderful. We were late for the breakfast due to jet lag and before they picked up, we were given a chance to eat.

Excellent!
Pros:

Close to shopping and restaurants. Loved the courtyard outside too. The staff was great about getting us a ice bucket for our room which we really appreciated. Water pressure in shower was great too!

Pros:

The reception/front desk went out of their way to help us with taxis (did follow up calls to be sure the taxi was on its way when we were heading for the airport), and were professional and friendly. Beautiful view overlooking the center green park.

Tolles Zimmer, sehr guter Ausblick, sehr nette Mitarbeiter:innen

Cons:

Schade war, dass man den Aufzug so stark hörte. Und das Preisniveau in Island ist für Mitteleuropäer:innen immer gewöhnungsbedürftig. Nicht nur im Hotel.

La atención del personal opinamos que no es lo que se podría esperar de un hotel de 4 estrellas. Exceptuando una señorita de la recepción, costaba mucho sacar simpatía y atención de 4 estrellas al personal. El desayuno era pobre, cereales poco variados y pobres, bollería sosa, la fruta insípida. La leche estaba cortada una mañana. La comunicación para reservar excursiones, regular. La llegada la primera noche fue terrible, porque llegas muy cansado y no nos atendieron bien sino como si nos estuvieran haciendo un favor. No había servicio de habitación. Sólo servían desayunos. En internet se mencionan las cenas y comidas de este hotel y no existen. Otro tema es los radiadores, que los bajaban por las noches y las noches frías en Islandia pueden ser muy frías. Los edredones de las camas eran enanos, y eso que yo soy bajita comparada con los nórdicos. La bañera de acceso muy difícil, con un borde muy elevado. La alcachofa de la ducha llena de cal, el agua salía torcida y se mojaba todo el baño. En general, el hotel está viejo. La atención del personal, muy variable porque de repente aparecía un día una joya de persona, pero destacaban por su ausencia. La ubicación, genial. No hay servicio de transporte al aeropuerto incluido.

Great location. Very comfortable old style hotel. Zoe at reception was very helpful with local knowledge, otherwise rest of staff was spotty on area knowledge.

Cons:

Was expecting more of a full service hotel. The only staff I saw were the two people at the front desk. No service to take care of parking, no concierge for restaurant or local guidance, no help with luggage. My mistake for getting impression from website that it was an older full service hotel.

Great stay before a cruise but breakfast needs improvement.
Pros:

The room was perfect! The beds were very comfortable and the people at the front desk were very helpful! Very nice and clean hotel! Fantastic location!

Cons:

The breakfast wasn't very good. There were limited and cold selections. The potatoes were awful. This was very disappointing for such a nice ho6tel

Breakfast was great. Room was spacious and modern. Rooftop bar was nice.

Cons:

The location is tricky. I thought it was closer to main attractions. After doing a day trip, we got off at the Nord Train Station and the walk home was scary. There were many homeless, drug use, and garbage on the streets. Overall, a bad neighborhood. Use Midi Train Station instead.

Goede start van vakantie in IJsland
Pros:

Hotel in het centrum van Reykjavik. Toch erg rustig. Het ontbijt is duur maar zeer uitgebreid en lekker.
Ideaal hotel om aan een rondrit door Ijsland te beginnen.

Cons:

Er is geen parking bij het hotel. De parkeerplaatsen in de buurt op straat zijn betalend en kortdurend parkeren. Het was even omrijden naar een geschikte parkeerplaats.
