Kathryn Riverfront Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The hotel is in a good location; nice view of the river to watch the waterfowl; staff was very friendly and helpful. Cookies and juice in the afternoon and clam chowder later were a nice touch. The breakfast was good and substantial; we especially loved the biscuits.
A big downside is the lack of towel bars. We are fine reusing our towels but need a place to let them dry. One hook on the back of the door is not sufficient for more than 1 person. It would also be nice to supply more washcloths at the start as housekeeping does not come to replace them daily.
The other issue we had was lack of any light to operate the coffee machine. I had to use my flashlight in order to see the fill line for the water.

Generous room size. Great staff. Especially Amadeus who made a timely repair for us. Excellent chowder served upon check-in Fresh baked cookies every afternoon. The lemon were Amazing!

Clean, friendly and conveniently located right in the heart of downtown. Everything is within walking distance. We've been staying her for 25+ years.

We had an amazing stay here. we stayed for for three nights at a very reasonable cost. The Hotel was right on the river and was so calm and quiet.
They have a beautiful sitting area with a fireplace, books and magazines.
The Hotel staff at the front desk were very friendly and and they know the meaning of Hospitality. They always greeted us as we left and welcomed us when we came back.
They offer coffee in the lobby 24hrs a day they offer infused water in the lobby and a bowl of Chowder at night and cookies too!
The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable.
The breakfast was great and offered many options, the hostess and cook were so kind and we were sure to thank them every morning.
We will definitely be back to this great, welcoming hotel.

The room was wonderful with a balcony on the second floor.
Lovely robes for going to and from the hot tub/pool area. (They also have them for sale)
Breakfast was fantastic. The food was great.
Location is perfect, you can walk to stores, restaurant, beach, and aquarium.
Lots of entertainment around, great atmosphere.
Value of the room is average.

All around this hotel is 10/10. Very clean. The complimentary cookies & smoked salmon chowder soo good. The hot tub is hot & jets our powerful 😊

The breakfast was at best, mediocre on a dirty diner with very dirty windows. They use dark wood, dark tile, dark everything to hide how dirty the place really is.

The staff could not have been more helpful, responsive, welcoming, or friendly. They gave me an early check-in, late checkout, a quieter room, and else I asked for. The riverfront rooms are very pleasant.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and I had everything I needed from your team like a crib and plunger lol.

I highly recommend giving this lovely inn a try! Everything about our stay was wonderful. The front desk staff was fantastic—friendly, welcoming and available 24/7, which made everything so convenient. One of my favorite touches was the complimentary salmon chowder—absolutely delicious! My room was beautiful, spacious and cozy with a view that truly can’t be beat. The location is also perfect, with adorable shops, great restaurants and even a fun candy shop (best chocolate ever)all within walking distance. Housekeeping did an excellent job and the overall service throughout my stay was top-notch. This place really has it all—comfort, charm and outstanding hospitality. I would definitely stay here again!

Same as the best western. Place was nice. The hotels and staff at both were exceptional and helpful and went above and beyond due to the third party booking service messing it all up.
