Good stay in modern and stylish hotel in residential area of Coimbra

Modern technology and very clean and beautiful public areas. Comfortable beds and good rooms

Internet was poor in my room on 4th floor
Roadworks outside hotel made it inaccessible by car
Difficult to access the entrance from the car park below

Netter Empfang, schönes Hotel.

Cons:

Parkplatz extrem eng. Das Fenster im Zimmer 305 konnte man nicht öffnen wodurch es im Zimmer sehr warm war. Zudem haben wir den Nachbarn schnarchen hören.

Unfortunately not up to our expectations this time!
Pros:

Breakfast is a very good buffet in a great airy setting. A lot of variety available.

Cons:

The bar service was extremely slow despite the number of staff available and difficult with the limited availability of lunch options. The tuna baguette was served with boiled egg inside without explanation of contents which caused problems for my egg phobia partner. It was also poor value for money. The voucher offer of a traditional cake with coffee involved an extremely very long wait too! Disappointing service.

The exterior road works in front of hotel cause traffic problems currently. The basement car park requires payment but unfortunately this system did not work on our prepaid automatic ticket when leaving the car park and we needed to contact reception to exit.

Also some building noise at intervals inside the hotel as new TVs were being installed in some bedrooms.

We often have short stays at this hotel and unfortunately this time we had a few issues. Also the hotel should be more aware of regular guests from their computer system and advance bookings!

Great!
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the space was quiet. The staff were very nice. We need a place to stay near by the Celas area and this was perfect, if you do want to explore the center of Coimbra this is about 20 minutes or so walking.

Nothing to dislike.
