Gresham Hotel Bloomsbury

It felt unsafe, I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a woman, the door didn’t lock and looked broken in, there was a big gap under the door, the bedroom window was stuck open, curtains falling off, bed sheets smelt awful, it was filthy, the bathroom was dirty. We had to leave and book another accommodation and the host would not consider a refund due to the conditions and the need to relocate.

Bloody disgusting and a health hazard, I'm reporting them to the council. I cannot believe what a 3rd world place it is, being managed by 3rd world owner's

The greeting at reception was very poor, not a smile, happy greeting, we were just given the keys. We then went to our different hotel along the road where our room was. The decor is very dated and the carpet is threadbare but that's not the problem. When we got in the room it smelt of cigarettes really bad especially in the bathroom. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, I'd even brought my own tea bags and there wasn't even a kettle to make it! There was a TV and beds that was it. There was a lot of dust and debris on the floor like it hadn't been hoovered and was covered in cobwebs. The bathroom has a lot of rust around the shower, the last thing we wanted to do was use it. Luckily we had lots planned for the weekend so literally only had to sleep there, but it was very poor. I definitely would not recommend staying there again, it wasn't that cheap and for what we got, other than the location it wasn't good value for money.

The smell the dirt

Tema higiene es bastante dudosa, a parte tras despertarme me encontré con que me había dado una reacción alérgica en la parte de la cara que apoyé en la almohada... La ducha mejor que lo veais con vuestros ojos, 0 higiénico y un olor totalmente desagradable en los dos baños. Reservé porque necesitaba un sitio donde dormir a última hora pero sinceramente es preferible dormir en una habitación compartida que aquí.

The room we stayed in had 2 beds and a bathroom, 4 cuck chairs (1 broken) + a tv. That’s it. There was no floor mat for the bathroom which would have been useful as the fan didn’t work in the bathroom and condensation was everywhere + the shower head sprayed water everywhere except the shower space. The cabinet the sink was in is falling to pieces. The walls and floors need TLC, carpet ripping, stained walls etc. The mattress was so old, flat and hard it would have been better sleeping on the floor. Why there was a TV in the room and no kettle when there are photos of the rooms with tea/coffee making facilities IN THE LAND OF TEA is beyond me. I wish I took photos.

Everything else - on check in, the staff member was extremely rude. I was advised that there was an issue with the room I had booked, which I received zero communication on prior to arrival, and that they had booked me into a different hotel around the corner. On arrival at this hotel, I can only describe it as an utter shamble. The room was clearly not cleaned - stains in the bathroom (toilet & sink) and hairs on the bed. The furniture was very old and no concern or communication from staff. Please look at the pictures attached to this review before considering booking - and then don't book.

Never renovated old rooms with unrenovated shared bathrooms.

Very tired and needs upgrading

Hotel is generally very dated and tatty, but clean enough. Noisy outside but can’t be helped.

100€ pour une chambre de bonne sans tv sans wifi et avec des installations datant du siècle dernier. Très mauvaise prestation.

Dirty dated smelly gross

It wasn’t clean dirty skirting boards cobwebs on the ceiling and light, curtains didn’t cover the window, the bed sheet stained with blood (even though they had been washed) the mattress was uncomfortable, only find two plugs next to the bathroom door.
Bathroom, very small if you were a larger person you wouldn’t have got passed the sink to get to the shower or the toilet.
