Excellent service, friendly staff, well appointed rooms, wonderful setting and great A/C!!!
La difficoltà a raggiungerla in auto. Situata nel centro storico, ci si perde in un labirinto senza fine.
Very warm welcome by the staff, timeless charming room and the wonderful dinner in the terrace.
Nothing
Wonderful hotel , well appointed room, amazing service and best possible location.
La Mirande is a special luxury hotel and really exceptional. The quality of the rooms are top notch and, if you're fortunate enough to have dinner there, the 5 or 7 course meal was something you'll remember for a very long time. The staff are also very accommodating and helpful if you need help with transportation, meals, or anything else. When visiting Avignon, make sure you really consider staying here. You will be happy you did.
Amazing property that is uniquely positioned just opposite the Pope's Palace in Avignon. Wonderful staff top to bottom. Excellent food, from breakfast to cooking with the chef in the medieval kitchen to the fine dining experience.
Dans un festival surchauffé à 37 o La Mirande a été le havre de calme et de fraîcheur qui nous a permis de vivre agréablement
Beauté du lieu, l originalité du décor, le comfort et gentillesse du personnel
The location of the hotel is very close to Palais de Papes.
We reserved two rooms, and despite messaging the hotel in advance and receiving confirmation that both would have king beds, neither room did. Instead, both rooms had queen beds that were uncomfortable. For a property that markets itself as a luxury hotel, this was a disappointing start to our stay.
Breakfast was equally underwhelming. At around 9:00 a.m., my children asked for pancakes, but there was only one left on the breakfast buffet. When I asked if more could be prepared, the attendant simply said no and walked away. She could of assisted the children with alternatives or gave a smile and a little effort. I was floored. Throughout breakfast, flies and other bugs were landing on the buffet table of food, which was unacceptable and so gross. There also appeared to be only one staff member working each morning, making the service feel understaffed and inattentive.
Overall, this was nowhere near the five-star experience we expected. We have stayed at the Ritz Paris and several other Relais & Châteaux properties, all of which delivered the exceptional service, comfort, and attention to detail that define true luxury hospitality. Based on the reviews, we expected a similar experience here, but unfortunately, this stay fell far short.
The staff did not seem invested in creating a memorable guest experience, and that was especially disappointing given the premium price of the hotel. Luxury accommodations should feel like a home away from home, with service that anticipates guests' needs and consistently exceeds expectations. That was not our experience.
I would not recommend staying here. The Palais is absolutely worth visiting, but I would suggest making it a day trip and choosing different accommodations. In our opinion, this hotel feels much closer to a three-star property than the five-star luxury experience it advertises. Our family felt dismissed and it was truly the worst food we ate the entire 6 weeks we were in France.
