Grand old hotel, beautiful facility. Easy walk to the main sights in Cambridge. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. I personally enjoyed all of the vintage pictures and posters throughout.

We had a wonderful experience at the University Arms. The rooms were luxurious. Breakfast delicious.
One follow up- the chaise lounge was badly stained (see photos). Would not have expected in a 5 star hotel

Tastefully decorated lots of open spaces for relaxing.
Located a few minutes walk from the main shopping area.
The Classic twin room was large and gorgeous and the bathroom was spacious and sumptuous.
Nice touches, complimentary chocolate and water and tea coffee with biscuits.
Breakfast included almost anything you could ask for, all self service unlesss you require something other than what is on offer. Although we did find that the bacon was a little tough!
We parked at park and ride and walked about 6 minutes from the bus station to the hotel, this was a great way to get into the city.

Staff were excellent.
Room allocated was disappointing. we booked a room that should have park view and it had street view, and no bath despite being told they had rooms of that calibre with bath and every effort would be made to accommodate.
Room was old-fashioned, but in a very nice way. Everything worked well. Breakfast was remarkably good and enjoyable. Location was within walking distance of the destinations I wanted to visit.
Some stains on carpet in room, but wssn't an issue for me.

buffet breakfast was okay. Good Cambridge hotels are thin on the ground. Would use this one again.

Nice place and friendly staff
This is a superior hotel showing how old fashioned quality can be blended in to modern, practical comfort. The staff are professional, friendly and capable of solving slightly unusual requests making our stay very relaxing and restful.
Lovely comfy bed. Polite, cheerful staff. Appreciated the cold lemonade in the lobby. Thank you for giving us a room with a bath - much easier with children.
My TV remote was broken, one of the lifts was broken.
