Staff were outstanding. Helpful and kind but not pushy.
Lighting in the room was not great, particularly for applying makeup in the evening before going out.
I needed a location close to the cathedral so this was ideal. The hotel was quiet at night and the bed was comfortable, Breakfast offered a good choice but was quite highly priced. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially reception staff.
I will not accept room 222 again ( had it before and it is maybe the worst they have). It is very small for a double, has a view onto blank walls and roofs and ventilation extractors. If you open the wondows, you have a kitchen smells and the room is gloomy with a colony of pigeons right opposite the window. There are very many small flights of slippery wooden steps in this hotel in spite of having a lift so it is quite hard for a person with mobility issues to get around and the room number is hard to locate on leaving the lift.
Stayed in the junior suite, great space. Incredible room service, lovely clean area, friendly staff - comfortable bed. Perfect for a city stay

Absolutely stunning hotel, fabulous location and we had an amazing view of the cathedral.
The town centre was just a ten minute walk from the hotel.
Staff were all so friendly and accommodating.

Expensive food
The staff were great, very friendly, we also really enjoyed the tour in the Bentley this really stood out. I liked that there were mirrors in the bedroom near plugs, it's amazing how many rooms don't get this right.
I did not like our room, simply there was too much furniture in it, I could not walk around the bed as the table and chairs were right by it and looked out of place. There was also a sofa bed, that made it seem like a family room. I ended up having to move furniture around. We thought we were getting an exec room, the standard fell short in my view against others I have stayed in. The bathroom was good, it's was frustrating that there was no conditioner in the room (people with long hair need this)! there was also no body lotion, I mention this as the pictures show small bottles so I expected these things to be there and did not pack either. There was noise from Disco both nights, useful that reception gave us a heads up and it did not impact our sleep but one to factor when your booking if you are a light sleeper. It was a shame we were staying for my mum special birthday and we both felt a bit disappointed with the room.
In the bar, staff lacked experience on making drinks.

Vriendelijk ontvangst, onze koffers werden zelfs naar onze kamer gebracht.
Fijne bedden, en je kunt zelfs uit 5 verschillende kussens kiezen. ( thanks Holly).
Een bonus dat je op vrijdag of zaterdag een rit in de Bentley van het hotel mag maken met een super aardige chauffeur die van alles over de stad vertelde.
