Convenient and clean. Very capable and efficient staff
As a solo traveller, once again I got the room with a view over the kitchens ☹️
The hotel is said to be the oldest in Britain and your stay here is quiet luxury guaranteed, from the prime location and comfy bed, to the stylish bathtub in your room. The restaurant and common areas are lovely. Very helpful personnel.
The lift is located in the renovated part of the hotel, and while you do get help with the luggage, there should be some kind of warning if you get a room in the older side, which is a labyrinth of steps coming up and down.
Location is perfect and the interior really cozy and full of history, really good breakfast
Some of the staff does not seem to know their trade, for the four star hotel you would expect better.
Lage; Frühstück; schönes, stilvolles Hotel

Staff were all very friendly and efficient. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite which was a great room. Very comfortable bed, spotless room and bathroom. Great choice of breakfast options, food all excellent. Would recommend.
Location. Big bed, good aircon
Bathroom overheated and heavy door could not be kept open
It is a lovely ancient building with some quirky architectural features and interesting history. Despite being ~800 years old, the fabric of the building was sound and the decor was very good.
Nothing.
The position of the hotel and the comfortable room
The property was lovely and well kept
Great hotel, fantastic location.
My room has condescended dripping from roof above the bed during my stay, unpleasant to be woken up with water dripping on bed and face.
Location was central and within walking distance of the train station.
The room we had needed a little tlc, room was small with very little room each side of bed, if you plan to stay here perhaps upgrade to a larger room. No ventilation for bathroom, mirrors in bathroom and bedroom steamed up, front of tv and the wallpaper in bedroom became damp. The air con didn’t seem to work, we did report to reception but unfortunately nothing appeared to be done. We thought the quality of food was poor. Personally I would say 3 star hotel, hubby thought 2 star.We would not stay here again, but saying that there were return guests.
