The breakfast was good. Nice staff. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. With plenty of room to move around. Very good layout, on a scale of 1-10 I will give it a 9 for the room only.
On our first night stay the TV was not working at all. The front desk said there was nothing that could be done until the next day. Paying for a hotel room with no TV all night is unheard of. This is not the 1930s. To get some type of entertainment we were forced to watch a movie on "OUR CELL PHONE" on YouTube, can you imagine that.
The next morning a Tech person came to the room and said that the TV and box connection were bad and the room should be shut down?. He did not think switching out the TV and box would solved the problem, but recommend that we switch rooms instead. But instead, we reached out to Sidney the front desk manager. This is when things started to improve. Sidney met with with us and even visited the room and to see just how bad things were. He immediately knew what the problem was. He said that the TV was flawed and needed to be replaced. He removed a working TV from another room buy himself and switched it out. Like magic everything was working. Hats off to Sidney.
It did not stop there, for our inconvenience, Sidney offered us a complementary breakfast and an extra night stay. We were very please with the out come, especially how he fixed the TV issue and offered us more comfort with another nights stay. I wish more managers were like him. I can't ever remember any manager who would take the time to listen and visit the room and then solved the problem, not ever. Because of how he handled the situation and without calling for a tech to help him, I would highly recommend that Sidney be elevated from office Manager to General Manager. Double Tree by Hilton Pikesville, MD. needs to recognize just how fortunate they are to have him and put him in a higher position so that others can learn from him. We really liked the hotel and because of management like Sidney we will surely return. One very happy customer!
Location. We were going to a wedding less than 10 minutes away. Nice and clean. Big breakfast.

Its a nice new looking hotel with large rooms.
Some of the outlets in the room didn't work.
Nothing honestly.
Everything- The tv had to be swapped bc it wasn’t working. The lights didn’t work when we arrived and above everything else the room had NO air conditioning and wasn’t fixed until our last night around 10pm and didn’t start working and cooling off until around midnight. It was between 74-76 the WHOLE TIME and we had a box fan. No option to change rooms bc they were full.
The hotel has been renovated and looks fresh & comfortable. It’s in a good location just off the Hwy. The rooms are spacious! It’s nice to have coffee & water at the lobby.
There’s only a bathroom mirror, they took away a full mirror. I wish they would add a big mirror in each room so that women can check how they look!
The water pitcher at the lobby needs to be refilled more often.
2 out of the 4 soap bottles were empty. When I approached the cleaning staff they promised they'll come by soon. never happened.
fridge stopped working on the last day of the stay.
A little noisy from the trucks going by. The compressor rattled and made noise when it was running. - Staff quite pleasant
