Room size and cleanliness
At first we struggled with the parking. The hotel staff told us he cannot do the valet parking due to the size of our car (Tacoma) so we end up parking it ourselves on the same building. Overnight Self parking rate ($72 pay directly to garage) is more expensive than having the valet parking rate ($59+tax pay directly to hotel)
My stay at your hotel is excellent. The bed, room and location are very good. I got exactly what I'm expecting like the higher floor, non-smoking due to allergy.
I have not travel by myself for a long time so I'm a little bit uptight and uneasy. I asked information before I check -in but the receptionist disdainful manner turn me off and not very helpful. When all I asked was the year of the building so, I just seat, take a nap for two hours in the lobby sitting area. I lived originally from PA and there was a lot of historical building which I admired so much. I moved to NY because of work again I visit the historical building because I admired the architectural design so much. So, when I got to Henley Hotel I did realize its a historic building, i checked all the design including the furniture. I can't help myself so I asked what year and the Asian man looks so suspicious and look at so sharp. Around 2AM I went in the lobby and asked if i can get a copy made, asked the young man with a tattoo, he give me a hard time but eventually did it for me. I forget that hotel have a computer for guest and would have done it myself. The following day I asked the doorman some info around the area which most familiar guess would asked. He doesn't know nothing and so he's not helpful. Lastly, the coffeemaker/teamaker seems so fancy but it's not functional. Most hotel instead of putting a regular pot to put water and press button to boil, they try to impressed guest by putting a coffeemaker that is not simple to operate for making or boiling tea for coffee or tea.

The hotel was wonderful
The parking situations. Had to use a parking garage that tells you 30.00 overnight then charges 70.00 when you leave. Also, they close at 3:00 pm and do not open till 7:00 am on weekends. You have to walk, take a cab or ever.No other places to park around the hotel.
Found it after researching for hours a reasonable hotel of good quality at a reasonable price. . Marriott across the street was 3 times. Loved our stay. And they didn’t overcharge or added unnecessary costs. Historic landmark and well preserved.
Pros: location. Central and just near so much to do.
Checkin was painless and allowed early checkin with a very nice upgrade. Staff was awesome. I would call it luxury and when we booked we expected a mediocre place.
Room: most comfortable with a little walkway to enter and a dedicated space for working. Bed was sooo comfortable with lots of light and many windows. Best night sleep. Bathrobes and great amenities.
AC- most perfect with individual control so you can cool it per your preference.
Bathroom clean good size with all required toiletries.
Parking- we parked nearby to save as DC is notorious for parking fees.
At check n you can ask for water. Best to book directly as they can offer more flexibility and of course good for business to not pay a third party for booking.

Everything was good
The location was fantastic - about 10 minutes walk from the Washington Mall. The room was very comfortable, which really is the most important thing. The bed was fantastic. I also liked the style of the building and the place. It really had a cool vibe. I'd go back there again. Also, it was quiet. My sleep was undisturbed :)
The room didn't have a minibar / fridge, which was a bit sad. Also, there weren't many outlets in the room, which meant I had to remove the one from the coffee machine to charge my phone (there was some adapter from the alarm clock, but it didn't work well). Also, one of the elevators wasn't operational and the other took ages to move, which had me moving my luggage down the stairs myself when I needed to check out.
Noise from the street.
We stayed for one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The location was excellent and made it easy to explore the area. The staff were courteous and welcoming throughout our stay.
One gesture that stood out was when we needed a few plates late at night. Although the manager mentioned they don’t usually provide them, he personally brought them to us as an exception, which we really appreciated.
The only downside was the refund of our USD 70 security deposit. We didn’t receive any response to our follow-up emails, and it took a couple of months for the refund to be processed. Thankfully, it was eventually returned.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay with friendly staff, and apart from the delay in the deposit refund, we had a good experience.
