The location of the Loews Regency New York Hotel is truly one of its best features, perfectly situated on Park Avenue in the heart of the Upper East Side with easy access to Central Park, museums, shopping, and some of the city’s best restaurants. What made the stay even more memorable was the incredibly warm and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to make every interaction feel welcoming and effortless.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not align with the price point or the reputation of the hotel. Small details felt excessively overpriced, from the $16 bottles of water in the room to room service pricing that felt more like gouging than luxury hospitality, and the breakfast was surprisingly underwhelming, tasting more like average hotel fare than something expected from a property of this caliber.
I’m especially disappointed because staying at the Loews Regency New York Hotel had been on my must visit list for years. While the location and staff were wonderful, the overall value simply did not justify the cost, and unfortunately I would not choose to stay here again.

The Loews has a very professional front desk staff. Makes for a great check in process. And they try to accommodate requests. The rooms are class New York - good size with beautify bathrooms. And I had a nice Fifth Avenue facing room. Hotel is also well located to public transportation and has a very active bar and restaurant scene. I use the hotel frequently for business and personal.
I had booked the Regency Exec Suite for a post surgery stay and used their excellent concierge desk in advance of my stay to make sure they could accommodate my needs. They recommended a medical supply company that delivered a lift chair to the hotel 2 days in advance of my check in date when Robert was on duty and held it for me flawlessly handing it off to Bernardo who was on duty on my check in date. They had it delivered to my room in advance of my arrival but it was in the wrong place. Bernardo just took charge and with my husband moved it in place not waiting to call anyone. Above and beyond! Refrigerator and microwave delivered to my room as promised. High floor (14) in back of building near elevator...with zero street noise! Everything from valet service and parking to departure was perfect. A quirky tv fixed with an Apple TV box. Everything quick, efficient, cheerful and competent. Could not ask for anything more.
the location is safe and the perfect spot for going out to elegant and fun restaurants. The guards are there 24/7 and the staff is friendly and very accommodating!
When I arrived at 4:30pm (check in time is 4pm) I had to wait until 6pm for my room to be ready. This made me a little late to my dinner plans. Other than that there are only good things to say about this hotel.

If you look for very expensive breakfast but you can see some bankers and politicians.
Old rooms, shower in a very outdated bathtub, not at all suitable for the price of the room, The staff is very unfriendly, very condescending and unpleasant, there is no way to get help or a pleasant attitude from them.
I'm a native New Yorker who moved away 15 years ago. When I visit I always choose this hotel. The staff is fabulous and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The food is great. I love the location walking distance to everything....museums, theater, shopping, and Central Park.

Always a great trip when I go to Loews New York City.. from the doorman to the front desk staff to the housekeepers, and the Restaurant staff.. they all are very professional.
We cannot recommend the Loews Regency Hotel enough. We were return customers for s short trip to the city - and found ourselves welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well appointed - plug-ins for devices everywhere! The location is ideal for central city excursions - museums, shopping and dining. 5-star experience.
Absolute amazing experience. My wife and I went for our 30th anniversary and were treated like royalty. Service was amazing and our room was great. Would highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to go back !!

It really in ways surprises me I need to leave a review. I’ve been a long standing Loews member and fan of their properties around the world for a very long time. The Loews staff in NYC in phenomenal, highly accommodating and beautiful lobby. The rooms however were outdated , the bathroom was incredibly small and the cleaning staff is very disruptive.
Every morning before 7am they would knock on the door asking for house keeping , no consideration if someone was sleeping and because the hotel does not offer do not disturb signs it causes constant disruption every hour starting at 7am.
I picked this hotel because I figured it would be quiet and relaxing , an experience I typically get at luxury hotels.
I regret not staying somewhere else as it was my birthday trip and honestly ruined the rest and relaxation I hoped to experience. The outdated room was not ideal but manageable. This has certainly caused me to wonder if the Loews brand of hotels is no longer what it once was.
