Old premium feel, you feel you are in a much more expensive hotel.
Pros:

Felt like a top premium star hotel would be like 20-30 years ago, I mean that in a good way. Huge room, comfortable bed, friendly "doer" no nonsense staff.

Cons:

Heating system in the room did not quite work, they brought us a mobile one. Then when we used the dryer the fuse would go off. Not the best insulation from the windows. Elevators can be hectic.

Liked spacious room, booked a suite, lovely bed comfort wise, cleaned often

Cons:

A strong smell coming from storage cupboard....very strong at times....had to have door closed into it and could not hang clothes in it.

Nice but not worth the money(!)
Cons:

My reservation was cancelled without any prior communication because my credit card had insufficient available credit at the time. I immediately made a new reservation on the same day for the exact same room and dates. Unfortunately, the rate had increased, and I ended up paying an additional $700 for the same accommodation.

I find this situation very frustrating, as I was not given an opportunity to resolve the payment issue before my original reservation was cancelled. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and consider refunding the $700 difference.

The perfect spot!
Pros:

Absolutely perfect location for exploring Manhatten and beyond. Quieter area than Time Square but only 10 mins walk away, less than that for the park, and subways and cabs all around. Rockefeller and Moma on your doorstep and rooms was comfy and quiet and big!

Cons:

Rooms don't feel dated but bathroom layout in ours was slightly inconvenient to use the toilet due to wall placement

Cons:

The hotel is in need of an update. Shabby furniture, chipped and scratched. The thing that is most needed is grab bars in the marble shower!
