Would definitely recommend to our friends and family.
Pros:

The staff were super friendly and helpful upon our arrival. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were so glad that the pool was open and the breakfast was great. Sanitation grade was 100%.

PAINFUL
Pros:

The bed was the most awful, soft and uncomfortable. The pillows were a real nightmare, absolutely useless, flat, soft, unshaped, not a hint of support. I woke up in absolute back and neck pain

Cons:

Need supportive good mattresses AND REAL PILLOWS!!!! Pillows that are actually usable and support your neck.

Friendly staff, very clean and updated. Great location to Black Mountain.

Cons:

I thought I booked the room for approx $130, but I was charged $189. Dont know how that happened. Also, was so looking forward to using the pool, but it was closed. Ugh.

How wonderful the staff was to us. They called us to tell us it was ok we would be late coming in and to be safe.

Relaxing stay
Pros:

Good location, can walk to town, but yet a little distant for privacy. Very nice area as you walk into the hotel on the left for meeting family and friends. Good breakfast, better than some Hampton Inns we have stayed in. We ordered pizza and ate downstairs. The accommodations are good; rooms are clean and well-maintained. There is also a nice outdoor area. Our room was on the side of the interstate, but we didn't experience any traffic noise. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating! This was our 2nd visit to this hotel, and both visits were equally good. We had a balcony room, but the balcony was not very usable.

My room was not very accommodating the shower had black mold in the caulking around the shower base and room light ing was placed in wrong places to see .It would have been nice if fridge had a freezer as many use too room entry door was hard to open properly and had bad selection of pillows all way to soft.I liked the style of sitting as 2 chairs and a nice lamp to read or work by.The room was not very comfortable to relax in .
