Hotel with one of the best views in the UK
Spa is small but functional
The hotel was very clean, the views were incredible and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Great location for our needs, superb views from our large room with great balcony. The restaurant was packed and the food really good.
Just the little things. Buy comfy Pillows for a start and if you bring a dog leave a dog bowl, as l said just the little things…
Oh my. The location. And the view. Wonderfully isolated. Wonderfully wild. The staff were all fantastic apart from one grumpy barman. Kudos to reception and the clay pigeon man for lots of smiles and laughs.
So we decided to use the words ‘old world charm’ as positives, but this translates as a little broken in places, a little quirky and old, and in a few places, not as clean as one would have hoped. BUT, this all seemed to add to the charm. We want to go back. That’s the conclusion.
The view.
The amount of dogs whining. I didn't realise it was a dog hotel and I spent a lot of time sneezing. Lesson learnt.

What a beautiful find. Stunningly beautiful location. Cannot recommend this enough. Really friendly and welcoming to us with our 8 month old baby. First stay in a hotel since we had our baby and it was made great by this beautiful hotel and the fantastic staff.

The view was spectacular, the staff was pleasant, and the food was very good. It left one with a very cultural feeling of the Welsh countryside
It was somewhat dated but acceptable for the price.
Lovely scenery around the hotel good food and tavern plus spa great for a relaxing weekend.
Was great to have a little dragon to put outside your door when your in your room and was left a bag of teas coffees and other items to refill the room without having to ask.

The view was exceptional, evening meal and breakfast were great.
Not as dog friendly as I would like, the television did not work properly and the curtains needed sorting out as half of it was off the hooks.
The dining room with a view over the lake while you had dinner was lovely. The food was delicious and staff attentive.
The verandah outside the bar is a lovely place to sit in the nice weather with beatuiful views. But if its raining there are plenty of little areas to sit too.
Breakfast was very good, a buffet with a choice from an a la carte menu addition if required.
We went to the spa for a couple of hours too, very relaxing and again stunning views over the lake from the jacuzzi.
Lots of walk suggestions at reception and suggestions for bikes etc.,
A slightly bigger room with perhaps a balcony would have been nice
