Time for a Refresh
Pros:

The site overlooking the lake is great with every room having a view. The staff was very helpful in calling the free shuttle to the ferry for us.

Cons:

With the recent change in brand, hopefully so changes will occur. The breakfast room is woefully inadequate to accommodate the number of people in the hotel. We gave up and had breakfast at a local restaurant instead. And the rooms are dated and in need of a refresh.

Location is convenient.

Cons:

Pool felt dirty. One working hot tub that was very small. Room was clean but still lots of residual food crumbs and stuff on floor left from previous guests. Ok breakfast but very small selection in a very small room. No signs to direct you to beach area.

Breakfast was good. View was nice. Room was clean. Staff was good. Nice little fridge and microwave.

Cons:

Toilet took a long time to flush and bathroom sink faucet would not turn off easily. These 2 plumbing issues should be addressed. Perhaps being under new ownership they will be.
Couldn’t really use the yard area for the fire pit or other activities because of the goose poop. The Canada Geese were beautiful and fun to watch but they poop a lot. The back of the property to the lake should be all sand and the geese use will not eat there.

Pros:

Location was excellent for trip to Mackinac island , shuttle to fairy was great

Gross. I would avoid.
Pros:

The view was alright.

Cons:

There were bugs everywhere, but that wasn’t the grossest part. The bed had no mattress cover. Just a sheet on a mattress in a glorified motel.

Along with the cleanliness issue, the breakfast was so gross that I had to take the kids elsewhere to get breakfast. Lastly, the floors were squeakier than a haunted house. You could hear every movement the people above us made.

0 out of 10 stars. I would not stay here if they gave me a room for free.

Below Average Stay for above average price
Pros:

Location of the property is good. The front desk staff were friendly. Very basic breakfast is included. All rooms are lake facing, so view is nice. Balcony wasn’t clean and ton of bugs due to season, so couldn’t really use it.

Cons:

The hotel is very very old. Every things is very dated.
Online pictures are very misleading. Rocking chair cushions had so many stains. Bed sheet and blankets are very old. Whole hotel smells like the pool.

Wonderful!
Pros:

The suites, pool, sauna, and location were excellent! The view of the lake was beautiful and the beach was amazing!

Cons:

The breakfast room could have been a little bigger, but overall, the food was well-stocked and excellent!
