The staff was nice. The location was nice. The beds were comfortable. The facility was old but clean for the most part
Water damage in glass panels on balcony patio doors was awful. It ruined the view. It had a screen door but was Informed via a note in the room to keep the glass doors closed to avoid insects and bats from entering the room. Would have been nice to know this before booking. You had to plug the microwave into the lamp. The refrigerator was very small. Only 1 ice machine, that I could find. It was at the end of the building on the 1st floor. it was old, the type you have to scoop the ice out. The drain in the shower was super slow. Toilet was very low-no grab bar. Only one little garbage can in the whole room. The free breakfast was in a cramped room on the 2nd floor. The food was not that good. I did enjoy the yogurt, though. The coffee was good, but no decaf offered.
Great location and beach view is beautiful
It was a nice stay.
Thesignage. We thought the pool closed at 11 because some of the signs said 11pm. But we got kicked out at 10 because other signs said it closed at 10. The workers know the signs are all different. Some of the outlets in our room did not work. It made it hard to plug all our phones and my fan in.
.
Location
Hosts were rude , our balcony looked very unsafe with the boards in bad shape, pool was dirty
Very clean and updated!
The location was convenient to major road ways. Hotel was located directly on Lake Huron.
The bathroom had no been renovated since the 70s/80s. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not properly lock. The air conditioner vent was broken and only pointed to the ceiling. The main property area was dirty (walls, floors). Pool area had old, fogged glass and peeling paint.
The view was great and the fact that there were three queen beds in the room with a door to separate the third bed. I also liked that there was an indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna.
There were a lot of geese outside and a lot of droppings. The bedroom that was closest to the room door had no AC, so we had to leave the pocket door open, but it was still too hot.
Convenient location with shuttle to the ferry station and restaurants.
Hallways were a bit dirty looking. Beach area was covered with goose dung. All in all the property could use an upgrade.
Breakfast and staff
It was close to the island
Needs to be updated. The stairways had bugs and cobwebs
Room was good.
The breakfast area is very crowded. The staff member replenishing food items was not very hospitable. There were two urns of coffee and one of them was out so I tried the other one and I got half a cup of coffee so I nicely mentioned to her that they were both empty and she looked at me like I was out of Line by telling her that. I think she may have just been feeling overworked.
The reception room is in a separate building.
The view and the room
Neutral
The Breakfast was awful. Sausage patties and a flat egg.
My 2 rooms that were supposed to be somewhere close, were in 2 different buildings.
No house keeping for 6 nights was ridiculous.
I was able to swap towels. But had to ask for toilet paper like 3 separate times. Barely anyone spoke English. The pool area did not get cleaned each day. The crud on the floor all 6 days I was there.
The staff was great and the room was clean. Beautiful view of the Lake from our room! You can tell the hotel was a little dated but everything worked.
We came mid June and the Midge Flys were everywhere and were quite annoying. Not the hotels fault.
Only 3 pillows on queen beds, nice to have 4!
