Chicago is a very nice city and the hotel is situated perfectly.
Pros:

Rooms (King River View) had spectacular views and were very nice.

Cons:

We had a problem with the payment. I paid through Booking.com upfront, but the hotel charged my credit card again. It took the hotel manager to get this issue resolved.
Update: While I thought the issue was resolved, 9 days later, I am still waiting for the money. Meanwhile, the hotel manager no longer answers my inquiries for status updates. I involved booking.com for clarification and claimed the respective transactions with my credit card company.
While the stay was very nice for my family, this process is still very frustrating for me.

Great Hotel
Pros:

The front desk staff was excellent at check-in and LISI was magnificent. She was able to get us an upgrade at a very reasonable cost. The hotel is in a spectacular location. Wouldn’t want anything else.

Windy City Chicago
Pros:

The restaurant service was very good. Juan, Charles and crew were professional and personable. Not only did I receive the attention to see if I had everything I needed, but Juan was happy to help me out with a map of the city of Chicago since it was my first time visiting. By the end of the day, I was satisfied with the experience life in the windy city.

Very good location to walk around downtown

Cons:

There is no parking on sight, they park your car somewhere else and it’s pretty expensive to valet.

A great stay
Pros:

This was a great hotel stay! I was checked in and greeted by Satara, who provided excellent service throughout my stay. She was, pleasant, efficient, resourceful and always offered up a smile and professionalism and she assisted me. I would definitely stay at the Royal Sonesta again!

In love with this hotel.
Pros:

Amazing location and views! My new go to hotel when visiting Chicago. The restaurant /Bar is great as well. Bed was very comfortable. Love how spacious the shower is.

Pros:

My daughter held her wedding here and several of us stayed for several nights. Wonderful experience! The bellman Arturo E. and crew were incredibly helpful and courteous.
