Very Disappointing Experience – Definitely Not a 4-Star Hotel
My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and I honestly feel misled by its 4-star rating.
1. Extremely Small Room: The room was ridiculously small, far below what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.
2. Broken Bathroom Door: The bathroom door was broken, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer a 4-star standard of accommodation.
3. Old and Outdated Hotel: The hotel is extremely old and outdated. In my opinion, it does not deserve a 4-star rating. I genuinely feel that the star rating gave me misleading expectations about the quality of the hotel.
4. Serious Luggage Handling Mistake: The most concerning incident happened when I left my luggage at the hotel while going out to explore the city. When I returned to collect my bags, the staff handed me one of my suitcases and another suitcase belonging to a different guest. The two bags looked similar, so I did not notice the mistake until my wife pointed out that the second suitcase was not ours. I could easily have left for the airport with another guest’s luggage. This is a serious failure of attention and luggage handling, and it is completely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
Overall, this hotel fell far below my expectations. The poor room condition, broken facilities, outdated environment, and especially the careless handling of guests’ luggage made this a very disappointing stay. A 4-star hotel should offer a reasonable standard of comfort, maintenance, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to meet those expectations.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a genuine 4-star experience.
Room: wonderful Quiet. Location - ideal - everything is within walking distance. Breakfast is always good. Good selection, plenty of protein. Staff was really accommodating. Had a few special requests - the front desk was always pleasant - and the youthful stewards always helpful, lugging the baggage and other travel nonsense all over the place...Really good people.
The bar across the side street at the side of the hotel can get noisy on weekends. Probably much better during cold months. People like being outdoors - understandable.
The room was much smaller than expected. very tight. all space was utilized. The staff and breakfast were very good. Great interaction.
The size of the room sadly was very small.
