Our hotel stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. We would stay again.
The only complaint I have is to few options at L2 grille and slow service even when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Food was worth the wait though and great portions.
Fantasyland was a great hotel but you do have to pay good money for it. We stayed frim Thursday to Tuesday. On our first night, we were placed on 4th floor which was pet friendly. I requested to be placed on the 6th floor as our friends were staying there and they were able to move us the following day. Air quality was much better and it is a Space theme floor. We were just asked to pack up all our things by noon and staff will move everything to our new room. Mattresses were great on both floor. Air conditioning was set at 18.5 but room still felt a bit warm. We did come on at warmer and humid week. Housekeeping cleaned our room in the evening but forgets to replace 2 free water bottles 3 times. They were friendly when asked to replenish and they did great job cleaning our room. On our 3rd night, I requested for microwave and kettle to be sent upnext day but they delivered within 30 min.
The only thing during our stay was 1 of 4 elevators were down so it was a long wait before check out times and after supper. On our last day, there was early convention on the 3rd floor and line up was up to L1 bar. We opted to take stairs a few times that day. We were not able to do late check out as our room was needed for new guests. But they let us check out at 1130 for no extra cost.
I was traveling with two 5 years old twins and location of hotel was very convenient to the mall. There is 24 hrs access from 1st and 2nd floor. Great perk getting 50% off Waterpark and 40% off Galaxyland admissions for staying here too.
Good experience. Always happy that it's built right into the mall. Nice to have a discount for the pool
Good staff, helpful and courteous, good food, nice restaurant, make sure everything works in the room in order to get 5 starts reviews.
It was a fun experience place to visit! I will come back again. Its a great place for any vacation planning! Definitely going back there soon!!
Generally a disappointing stat. Dirty lobby with cranky staff, restaurant staff meek and quiet and unhelpful. Housekeeping staff dominate the elevators throughout the day so that no guests can use them. We waited on average 10-15 minutes per elevator trip while loaded cars full of staff kept opening and closing infront of us.
Not very clean. Horrible Rock hard mattresses. And they call them a queen size but definitely smaller than our queen at home. My husband and I barely fit.
Although my daughter enjoyed the luxury princess room, it definitely wasn’t worth $600 a night. Way too steep of a price.
The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly.
Our service at the L2 lounge was really good and the food was good as well.
We loved this hotel, staff were amazing and helpful. The fact that every floor has a unique theme made elevator trips fun. My kids thought we were staying in the fanciest hotel, we didn't even have a theme room. Take advantage of the discounts for the waterpark and galaxyland and go early, this alone saved us lots of money. Will definitely go back
Okay so I hadn’t stayed here in a few years but this hotel has gone downhill.
The room next to us just had the fantasy land infomercial on their tv and that was enough to keep me awake. Idk if there is a hole in the wall behind the tv due to installation or what. Also same room the ac didn’t work. So after the maintenance person fixed it, the air still wasn’t cold. So we swapped rooms late at night.
The second room seemed good it was quiet and the air conditioning worked. But this morning upon getting out of bed we found a pair of fake eyelashes that didn’t belong to either of us… Pretty gross, makes me wonder if that’s the amount of effort put into cleaning the bed, how much effort gets put into the jacuzzi tub..
We had a theme room, next time though we would probably look to stay somewhere cleaner. Such as a motel… (sarcasm)
This is always our 1st choice! We never have to drive anywhere, everything we need is all right there.

The fun of getting a theme room is so worth it. Book directly with the hotel for the best deals to the WEM attractions. We got the Roman room and found it to be super fun and comfortable. Look forward to coming back with the fam
We stayed one night in August to go back to school shopping. Having the hotel room right there to drop off bags is so handy!
I wouldn’t stay there again due to them not taking the leaking light in the bathroom . We couldn’t use the shower or tub or the light when we were in the washroom due to safety
The room we started with smelt then we switched rooms and it was dirty the jets weren't working in the hot tub plus stepped on a peace of glass that resulted in me getting cut under toe
The hotel is very rundown, in need of repairs, and a new cleaning staff.
They had to move us to a different room because the room we originally booked had not been cleaned. And unfortunately, it did not seem like it had simply been missed by housekeeping. It appeared as though no one had even gone into the room before giving it to us.
There were obvious stains on the counters and floors, cobwebs throughout the room, and hair in the bedding from the previous guests. The bathroom was particularly unpleasant, with hair from the previous occupants throughout it. The overall condition and cleanliness of the room were completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
The only redeeming quality is that we were promptly moved to a "luxury" room, but there were still issues. The Google streaming service never worked, there was no mini fridge in the room, mold in the shower and the hot water barely flowed from the tap.
I am sure the ownership group is aware of the condition of the hotel, which makes it even more disappointing that these issues appear to have been allowed to continue.
At this point, the biggest reason to stay at Fantasyland Hotel is its location inside West Edmonton Mall and the convenience of being close to the Waterpark and other attractions. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness and the generally rundown condition of the hotel overshadowed that convenience for us.
The experience was disappointing enough that, on our next visit to West Edmonton Mall, we would seriously consider staying at another hotel and simply driving to the mall instead.
