Fantasyland Hotel

Hot tub was broken. Motor would run but jets didn't work. Only reason we picked the room was for the hot tub so it was very disappointing. Nothing was said or done by staff to correct it, or even an apology for the disappointment.

I found the stay to be expensive but it was good. The jacuzzi was a great size and I would absolutely recommend the Fantasyland hotel to anyone seeking a night out with a unique experience.

Was woken up at 630 am to drilling/construction outside my window. Not impressed. First time staying here and it will be my last. Room was $500.

Loved my room. Very nicely decorated. Excellent shower. Double sinks. Roomy bathroom. LOTS of thirsty towels. Comfy beds - lots of pillow variety. Excellent towels for swimming. Excellent room service - at my room in no time. Good food prepared to my specifications. Hotel part of the West Edmonton Mall with easy access. Room maids did a great job. Quiet as well - minor league hockey tournament going on and rarely heard anything. Similarly, roof repairs going on for the Waterpark - could see them through the window but did not hear them! All staff well mannered, friendly and helpful.

The bathtub is awesome!! I would come back just for another bath!! The walls are thin and lots of people means lots of noise between rooms. Maybe there could be a strip put around the doors between rooms to dampen the noise. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Elevators were good in spite of the numbers of people. A bonus to have shopping a restaurants a few steps away! Generally a great place to stay.

In the middle of the night our toilet became a poop and chemical bubble volcano. The staff didnt seem to care because there's no maintenance at night. Im pregnant with two young kids and we all left sick and disgusted.

We usually have to complain about something each time we are here. This time there was blood on the bunk bed bedding upon arrival. The Polynesian room we had smelled like sweaty, wet people. The decorations were very dusty. The shower water is lukewarm at best with spurts of scalding water. The cable glitches out and displays the wrong shows on the guide. The elevator situation is atrocious with long lines, people that budge, and long wait times. Door hinge in desperate need of WD40. Closet door wouldn’t roll/open. The set up of the room is poor with the bunk bed in front of the window so had to crawl into the bed to open the curtain or look outside. Mirror above the bed is weird. Hard to even get in the bed with the weird shelving on both sides. The place where the water drops from for the jacuzzi tub is black and cracking is nasty looking. Upsetting for the price we pay.

Had a great stay with fun themes for families to enjoy. We stayed in a Roman villa. Large and clean room with great staff.

Ive stayed here a dozen times in the last 20 years. It used to be a very nice hotel. Now its mostly a shadow of that. The family that owns the place is milking every last drop out of it. Everything needs repair. Room A/C are not working, elevators on long term repair, dirty rooms etc..
They adverise unique rooms but often as not they have major defects like low( or no) water pressure, or non functional HVAC.
Stay somewhere else. Edmonton has plenty of better places. The mall location is no longer worth it.

Beautiful theme room and amazing staff! The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with suggestions for things to do during our stay and helping us extend for an extra night.

I'm not the kind to put in the effort to create an account just to post a review, but here I am. I see this incident as more of a safety issue than people being inconsiderate, and the hotel front desk claiming they can't do anything about it.

We decided to check out instead of spending another night because the front desk refused to do anything about a group of parents loitering in the hallway, in front of our room. When I say loitering, I mean they have chairs blocking the hallway like they are at a campfire, loudly chit-chatting. Their being with their chairs technically blocking the hallway is a safety issue, isn't it?

I called the front desk to report the situation, and they only told me that it's not quiet time yet and that they can't do anything about it. When I insisted on the situation, I got a generic "I'll see what I can do" spiel.

Very well located in the West Edmonton Mall. We chose a Polynesian room. Upon arrival, our mini fridge was hot, maintenance was sent to fix it. We had no hot water, maintenance was again sent to fix it. The remote control for the t.v. was no where to be found, one had to be sent up to our room. While preparing to pack up our belongings at the end of our stay, we located the missing remote on the floor, which indicates that our floor had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. The front desk was really not interested in our problems and told us to just put it in our reviews!

I and my kids had a great time loved the theme room kind of wish was more elevators especially during checkout time. Was very good overall

Very well staycation, my kids loved it, the truck theme is very kids friendly with the jacuzzi.
Will definitely try other theme room next time

Kids enjoyed the stay in the theme room. And maybe next time offer 50% off on waterpark tickets or in galaxy land

Couple Getaway, very convenient for us as we got up went to the mall and our entertainment was there as well. Parked the car and didn’t have to worry about it. Wished the virtual key worked for us. But still a great experience. Already planning a family getaway to come back!

Love our room as it accommodates all of us girls and we love going to Jubilations. We also love the shopping at different stores. Great trip!

Good stay and the team building we had at the REC Room was really fun. The meals we had at the conference we amazing

No complaints. Used the meetings rooms, Loft and casino. Great venue for a large company multi-day meeting
