Convenient to airport, especially using the shuttle and leaving our car for a week. Nice people at the front desk
Needs updating since it is getting old.
I’ll start with some positives. My room was free, resulting from a cancelled flight. I shouldn’t complain, but even a free room should have some minimum requirements. The checkin process was quick and easy, and the room was clean when I arrived (minus a Golfball sized mass of dried glue on the desk’s power outlet bank). The hotel is also quite close to the airport and offers a free shuttle, which does not run between 1915-2015, according to the phone call I made when I tried to pick up the shuttle at 1915.
The shower in my room had a bath and shower option, but there was no button, knob, or lever that turned the shower head on. I tried calling the front desk, and the line made disconnected noises, so I never got the info on how to work it. I’ll post photos of the setup if curious before you book. I’ve used showers across the globe and couldn’t figure this one out.
Checkout was also easy, but the shuttle driver was about 10 mins late arriving for the first shift of the day (Monday @0330), so I’m not sure how reliable the shuttle is on other days or times. Overall, if I had a choice in hotel stays, I wouldn’t pick this first, but it has a few perks that are beneficial if an airline forces you into an unexpected hotel stay.
It was nice
The night check in lady was a little snippy
The positive was the breakfast—the food was good, and the staff working the breakfast area uwere friendly and welcoming.
This was a very frustrating and unacceptable stay. We walked into our room and it was set to 78 degrees—completely uncomfortable. When we tried to turn on the AC, it didn’t work at all and never cooled the room down.
We were forced to deal with a hot, stuffy room overnight and had to open the windows in the morning just to get any relief. To make matters worse, the window on our second-floor room didn’t even have a screen. Traveling with a young child, that’s a serious safety concern and completely unacceptable.
We reported the issue to the front desk, and they assured us the general manager would follow up. That never happened. No communication, no resolution, no accountability.
Between the broken AC, the unsafe window situation, and the complete lack of follow-through, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again.
Shuttle to and from airport. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff
Terrible service from the night person
Everything
Excellent food choices, prepared well, and friendly staff.
NA
The location was near the airport, so that was our main goal. Staff was efficient.
Hot breakfast was not good. Every hotel we stayed in on our trip was so expensive.
Breakfast was good
The shuttle was great.
The staff could not find our reservation that was made on booking.com. He said the site had been filled for several hours. As a result that we had not found the reservation it must not of gone through. He also thought it was made at Briargate. We couldn't use the shuttle to go there. When we got back home we found several emails showing our confirmation number to your site at The Fairfield on Tower Road and the time we would be at your site.
<>The staff, Areli, Eugene and Christopher made the stay especially nice
Nearby a Ruby Tuesday so we could Walk to dinner.
Elevator was not working near our room. It was a very long walk to the next one and so not convenient.
