Friendly staff
Door to room stayed open
The surrounding area doesn't make you feel safe. Had 2 men loitering after midnight, and the security guard had to ask them to leave twice.
Nice plenty of parking
The pool and the hot tub needed a little cleaning
Superb staff that is nice, very professional, and prompt with every request. Many hotels are basically the same in terms of the facilities and amenities, so the people working at the Hyatt Place Tucson Central location really make all the difference!
Hotel is outdated and in a not so good area of town. There are a lot of homeless and drug addicts walking through the parking lot and nearby restaurants and gas stations.
Good clean hotel. Staff was courteous and efficient. Got a quiet room away from the highway as requested. I wish they had fresh fruit for BFast instead of some syrupy floating fruit.
This hotel is in a terrible location. Tucked behind a Circle K and adjacent to a transient hotel it leaves a lot to be desired.
The rooms were very clean and the price was low.
Breakfast was basic.
I personally would not visit this location again.
The Location is bad nothing around it. away from everything. The rooms are old .Nothing like Hayatt
No body smiles . the front desk guy I didn't understand a word he said , he speaks 100 word per minute .
The price should not be over $200
Waffles were cold
Pool wasn't what the pictures in the website depicted
The hotel sits in a noisy area, next to I-10. It's an old and run down hotel, with a laud A/C in the guest room. Even hair was found in one of the beds.
I booked this mainly on price. For a recognized brand hotel with breakfast included, the price was good and the location seemed fine. We stayed here 3 nights.
Pros:
* Breakfast (6 a.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. weekends) was pretty good, in terms of quality and variety.
* The hotel is centrally located - less than 10 minutes to U of Arizona campus or downtown.
* Within a block of I-10 (but no noise issues).
* There is a gas station adjacent to the hotel for easy fill-ups, if needed.
Cons:
* Accessing the hotel's driveway was awkward. You pass under I-10, switch lanes, pass a traffic light, and then have to get into a short semi-lane to wait for a gap to turn across traffic to get in. Not horrible, but it was always a final, mild challenge when returning.
* The area around the hotel was a bit sketchy. They don't seem to have an issue with their parking lot, but some of the people hanging around the gas station next door seemed like you'd be better off avoiding them.
The room was adequate for 3 people, but the sofa bed was not the greatest.
If you are not getting breakfast at the hotel (for whatever reason), there is a Waffle House across the street and an IHOP about a block away. There also was some sort of Crab Shack restaurant next store. Those appeared to be the only restaurants within walking distance and we did not visit any of them.
If I returned to Tucson, I'd consider staying here again, but might also shop around to compare other places.
Rooms were ok. Definitely needs a remodel and update. I was barely greeted by the staff and I don’t think they really listened to my responses to the questions they asked me. Not what I normally get with a Hyatt branded property unfortunately.
