Very disappointed about my stay. The people were very nice and the room lovely but the service wasn’t worth 1700€ for 2 nights.
I asked when I made my reservation for a room on the highest possible level and they gave me one on level 6 out of 30... So sad they didn’t care.
And when we came back from our first day wandering in the city the whole afternoon they hadn’t cleaned the room. We had to ask for it and they asked us to wait outside the room for one hour when we wanted to be quiet in our room…
Nothing dramatic but once again when you pay 1700€ for 2 nights you expect something else.
Our visit to Hotel Arts in Barcelona was incredible. A huge shout out to the entire team for making this stay special. The front desk was exceptional, the concierge ladies were so helpful, and management was on point. The level of service and hospitality made this stay special. Also, the room was stunning with views of the city and Sagrada Família. One of the best stays. Thank you!
Stayed here recently and felt that considering the amount charged per night the guest service and the quality of food was so poor.
The hotel itself is not in the centre of town so a Taxi is required to get there at at least a 20 euro each way trip.
Food options in the evening are really poor with only the pool restaurant or a Michelin star restaurant with prices to match available.
We tried the room service which was inedible and the fact that when we put the tray outside our door in the evening and it was still sat there the next afternoon speaks volumes.
There is no hotel bar to speak of which is weird and we left with a feeling of a complete underwhelming experience.
We will try the Mandarin Oriental next time which is on a par price wise and hopefull an elevated guest experience.
Everything on the property was lovely, great location i felt that i saw the entirety of barcelona just from the window of my hotel room, great variety for breakfast, and Hugo at the front desk got us a great room upgrade that we really appreciated and made our stay in barcelona a much more memorable one
Nothing
Very Happy
הכול טוב חוץ מביקורת אחת
הרעש שנסגרות הדלתות מאוד חזק ומעיר אותך אם ישנים
We were extremely happy with our experience at Hotel Arts Barcelona and truly impressed by the level of service and hospitality throughout our stay.
Although we experienced a delay of around two hours at check in, the way the team handled the situation completely exceeded our expectations. The manager was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely committed to making things right. To our surprise, they offered us a complimentary future night with an upgrade at a date of our choice, a gesture we truly appreciated.
We believe that occasional issues can happen anywhere, but what really defines a hotel is how they respond. The way Hotel Arts handled the situation showed us how much they genuinely value their guests and their satisfaction.
A special mention also goes to the concierge team, who were exceptionally helpful and consistently went above and beyond whenever we needed anything.
We left extremely satisfied and with an excellent impression of the hotel. We will definitely be happy to return
We didn’t like that we had to leave
On the beach great location friendly staff
It’s under refurbishment so parts were closed off
I recently spent a week in Barcelona with my 79-year-old mum and my two sisters to celebrate my 50th birthday, booking the trip as an Expedia package.
The Arrival & Room Mix-Up:
Prior to arrival, I messaged twice through Expedia to request twin beds. Despite this, we were told at check-in that our rooms were on completely different floors (the 15th and 25th) and both had king beds. Given the hotel knew I was traveling with my sisters and elderly mother, separate floors made no sense. Fortunately, Andrea at reception was fantastic; he did his absolute best and managed to get us all on the 15th floor, though we had to accept the king beds. It's also worth noting that our second room (1508) took quite a while to be ready.
The Room (Room 1509):
Room 1509 was simply spectacular! It was a recently furnished, incredibly spacious, and beautifully laid-out corner room. The views of the Sagrada Familia and the partial sea views were fantastic. With great blackout blinds, an incredible bathroom, and plenty of storage, I truly cannot fault the room at all. The hotel also kindly decorated the room with rose petals and balloons for my 50th, leaving a hand-signed card and a bottle of sparkling wine, a really beautiful touch.
Service & Amenities:
While we had a very comfortable stay, the service was a bit hit-and-miss for a 5* establishment. On multiple days and evenings, neither the daytime housekeeping team nor the evening turndown service had any Earl Grey tea. When I called reception to request some, we either received nothing at all or were sent green tea after a long wait. We only finally received Earl Grey on our very last day. Additionally, after we finished the complimentary sparkling wine, the empty bottle and ice bucket were left in our room for a day. We eventually placed the tray outside our door, but it sat there for another day before being cleared.
On a positive note, the service around the pools, in the restaurants, from the concierge, and at the front entrance where you are greeted was absolutely wonderful and exactly what you would expect from a luxury hotel.
The Pools & Construction:
There is currently major construction happening at the hotel. While you can see the scaffolding and cranes outside, we fortunately couldn't hear any noise or see it from our room. The adults-only pool is being "reimagined," which is definitely needed as it's very small, and the family pool was so busy you could only really stand in it to cool down rather than swim. Once the construction is finished, I'm sure the pool areas will be fabulous.
Overall:
A nice hotel with stunning rooms, but it just needs a tiny bit of fine-tuning on the 5* service details!
Property does not feel like 5 star hotel.
Located next to casino. Lots of robbery around the hotel. Please do not wear any luxury watches and items.
