Construction taking place and the bar was not open. I was also under the impression that I was booking a balcony room. It did not have a balcony and there were none available to switch to. I only booked this hotel based on the fact they offered balcony rooms. Very disappointed.
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Considering that the lobby is currently under major renovation, the stay itself was acceptable. To be honest, the property feels more like a construction site than a hotel at the moment. Nevertheless, the staff during my stay were friendly, courteous, and the service on site was generally fine.
Unfortunately, everything changed after check-out. As a business traveler, I required a proper invoice for my expenses. At check-out, I was told that they were unable to print my invoice and that I would have to request it through Booking.com. Despite submitting multiple requests via Booking.com, I never received any response from the hotel. I also contacted the hotel by phone several times, but my requests were repeatedly dismissed, and the staff refused to provide me with a proper invoice.I contacted the hotel several times through Booking.com and never received a single response. I also called the hotel repeatedly, only to be dismissed and told they would not issue the invoice I requested. The entire process was handled in an extremely unprofessional and sloppy manner.
In the end, I had to retrieve a copy of the invoice myself through the Marriott Bonvoy program. To my surprise, the invoice contained a generic address in Amsterdam instead of my actual billing details, making it completely useless for accounting purposes.
It is unacceptable that a hotel is unable or unwilling to provide one of the most basic services for business travelers: a correct invoice. Ignoring customer requests, refusing to resolve the issue, and handling the matter so carelessly reflects very poorly on the hotel's management.
I strongly advise business travelers to avoid this hotel. If you need reliable customer service or a valid invoice after your stay, look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property at all.
I was moved to three different rooms. This trip I had to pay for parking even though I have a handicap sticker. Was told at my checkout I could've used any handicap parking free.
location balcony spacious suites
some areas were hotter than others also the water could face even more hot
Did not eat breakfast
The place was under construction but it wasn’t listed as such
The hotel was being worked on during our visit.
The pool area could have been better.
Comfortable with a great location.
Nothing
We loved our bedroom. The beds are always soft, clean and comfortable. The rooms were very clean. The staff was really nice and polite. We really appreciated that. Overall we do love staying at the South Bank hotel.
The property was under renovation and I think we should have got a discount because of that. The bathroom downstairs in the lobby wasn't working. I had to walk at least three hallways over to a room to use a bathroom. that a gentleman was sitting in the room for that talking on the phone while I was using the restroom. I was very uncomfortable. So at our time of stay the property did not meet our expectation because of all the construction that was going on.
The location was excellent. The room was nice. And the hotel is generally very nice. The only problem is that it is currently undergoing renovations. When the renovations are complete, it will be a very nice hotel.
Renovations are currently being done throughout hotel.
Convenient the Vystar arena we were attending for a concert.
I wasn't aware that parking wasn't including in my reservation until I checked-in. That was the first time I've ever heard of having to pay a separate charge for parking somewhere you have a booking at. The bottom of the shower wasn't cleaned well and there was a good bit of remodeling being done in the main lobby that was all walled off. I was expecting to see what had been shown in the pictures.
Great location…room was clean…nice restroom
Currently remodeling and pillows were small
