Review Highlights

Pros:
Excellent central location
Friendly/helpful breakfast and bar staff
Beautiful/comfortable room design (when functioning)
Strong breakfast offering
Charming hotel appearance and design
Cons:
Noise issues (street, pipes, AC, thin walls)
Room maintenance problems (broken shower, limited hot water, noisy AC)
Reception/communication problems and inconsistent front-desk service
Isolated but serious cleanliness/preparation failures (uncleaned room, drugs found)
Amenities failures (sauna/steam room not working, cancelled spa bookings)

Categories

Cleanliness
8
Some reports of rooms not being properly prepared (including an instance of drugs/paraphernalia found), but most reviews do not raise broad cleanliness complaints; isolated serious incidents lowered the score.
Service
9
Mixed but generally strong: breakfast and bar servers received high praise and some staff were described as very helpful, though several guests reported poor reception experiences, slow/poor check-in and unhelpful responses.
Location
10
Consistently praised across reviews as central, excellent for shopping/restaurants and very well located.
Room Quality
8
Rooms are often described as beautiful and comfortable, but multiple guests reported significant maintenance/noise issues (loud AC, thin walls, broken shower, limited hot water) and some small-room layouts.
Amenities
7.5
Several amenity failures noted (sauna/steam room not working, elevator/lobby issues, cancelled spa/massage booking), so amenities are weaker than expected though some on-site services still operate well.
Value for Money
7
Perceived as pricey by some guests (notable complaint about paying a high rate yet encountering broken shower and other issues), reducing perceived value despite strong location and service in parts.
Food and Beverage
10
Breakfast and bar service received consistently very positive comments; breakfast described as wonderful and servers repeatedly praised.
Overall Experience
8.5
Mixed overall: 'lovely in places, terrible in others' — outstanding location and some excellent staff/food experiences balanced by noise, maintenance and occasional service/cleanliness failures.

Decepção. Lindo por fora, mas sem estrutura técnica.
Pros:

Pros:

Room was beautiful and staff very good. Only issue is there was barely any hot water and the shower was broken - £1200 for a night I don’t expect to have to hold the shower heard over my head
