We used the train to get to and from airport, so location was great. Also close to shuttle pick up for Red Rocks.
From the moment we arrived, The Oxford Hotel exceeded every expectation. The architecture alone is breathtaking, a rare blend of historic character and modern refinement that makes you feel you've stepped somewhere truly special. Every detail has been thoughtfully preserved and elevated.
The location could not be more perfect for experiencing everything downtown Denver has to offer, with the best of the city right at your doorstep. But what left the deepest impression was the staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed and valued at every turn.
This is, without exaggeration, one of the finest hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The Oxford has set a new standard for what we now hope to find in every future stay. We are so grateful for the wonderful experience and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Beautiful building—meticulously restored yet with modern creature comforts
Hotel has a lot of character, great decor. Great location, easy access from Union Station (making trip from DIA super easy).
A/C in the room did not work well. Sink very small in bathroom. Breakfast was pretty thin.
Great staycation! The room was very comfortable. The bed was so nice, and the bathroom and personal amenities were a great addition.
Enjoyed the bourbon tasting with local distilleries. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a lot of choices including a delicious gluten free pastry.
It was also fun to sit in this historic place.
Easy walk to many places downtown - food, bars and shopping
Everything was perfect no issues at all I would stay here again it’s very quaint I really enjoyed the daily whiskey tastings. The hotel bar was great has a speakeasy/prohibition era vibe we stopped in every night we came back. It’s also a short walk to Coors field and Union station.
Flew in for a 3 day Red Rock Amphitheater trip. Oxford was obviously the best choice. Amenities were very nice, staff was pleasant and very efficient. Room was clean and we enjoyed the history of the building. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable and provided a perfect restful night after an epic experience at the venue. Thank you!
We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff- from the valets to the front desk. The building is gorgeous and historic. The location is excellent. We appreciated the free bourbon tasting n the evening and delicious breakfast is the morning. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The attached restaurant was superb. We would definitely stay there again!
Danny, Toby and Jennifer were excellent with valet and bell desk services. Danny gave a great hotel micro hotel history, while bringing our substantial luggage’s up to room 205. Toby, a true professional, immediately welcomed and made us feel like royalty. He even offered a photo moment of my wife and I with Union Station as a backdrop. On checkout morning, Jennifer was graceful and managed our early morning departure well, in spite of being in the weeds supporting multiple other checkouts and ringing phones. She deserves a gold medal for balancing so many responsibilities on her own, so early in the day.
Loved seeing the local mini bar offerings, even though we didn’t partake in them. The bagel chip lox spread during the lobby breakfast offering was a great touch, too.
Only issue experienced was the in-room phone didn’t work, until we realized a prior guess had unplugged it, probably to charge a personal device
A-plus work Oxford team. Next time we are back in Denver you are a strong contender for our repeat, roadtrip business. Thank you!
We stayed for my daughters wedding. The ceremony and reception were at The Oxford. The rooms were spacious and the entire staff was exceptional. It was a beautiful experience and we can't thank them enough.
I won't stay here again though I go to Denver often. The reason: an irrational reaction to their early check in policy. I turned up at 1:00 PM, not expecting to be let into my room (I was prepared just to drop my bags) but no harm in asking. I was told my room was available but there would be a $50 charge for early check in. Huh? The room was ready. It was going to incur no effort on their part to give me the key. I could understand if I'd called in advance and asked for it. But this was just opportunistic gouging. So much for treating me as a guest; I was just a mark to hit on for revenue.
The above was enough to turn me off the place for good. But a few other annoyances would probable have done it.
1) On the second day, the Wifi kept rejecting me and dropping the connection. It kept asking me to consent to the hotel having my data so they could market to me (see screenshot attached). I would decline; my internet connect would drop. I ended up using my phone as a hotspot. It just enforced the sense that I was a mark for their commercial enterprise, and not a guest.
2) Rooms are characterful, which I like. But in my room (300) there was a step up to enter the bathroom. Not something I enjoyed in the dark.
Great location. Comfy beds. Great AC.
Breakfast was a lot less than I expected.
The Oxford Hotel has a lot going for it. The location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the included perks, like the bourbon tasting, were a nice touch that made the stay feel a little more special.
Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the noise and the surrounding area. The windows don’t seem to seal well, so outside noise comes through very clearly. We were awoken in the middle of the night by extremely loud music that literally shook the room. While still trying to fall asleep, we heard gunshots on the street below, right next to our room. The incident resulted in two people being injured, and while that’s obviously beyond the hotel’s control, the lack of sound insulation made the situation even more unsettling.
We had booked the hotel for a romantic getaway, but the constant noise and overnight violence outside made it anything but relaxing. The hotel itself has many positives, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose it again for a quiet or romantic stay.
Outstanding property! Among our favorite hotels to stay. The history and charm combined with location make it a perfect choice. The staff are always warm and welcoming - several who have been with the hotel for many years. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. Plus, a bourbon tasting each evening is a nice touch. Highly recommended.
A bit on the pricey side, but the staff was friendly and helpful! It was also in a great location. Very close to Union Station.
