It was situated opposite the US Treasury and the President’s Park with great views and central to all attractions. The room was spacious and beds comfortable
The bathroom was open plan, except for the toilet so if you came out of the shower naked and there was someone at the the door it would have been embarrassing.
The breakfast was great and restaurant staff are good but "Manny" is exceptional. He waited on me in the past in the main restaurant and is now working at the Rooftop restaurant. He is the reason I will return to the Rooftop restaurant. This was my third stay at this hotel in the last year and a half but it was my final. I am staying elsewhere when I return for July 4th.
The ceiling leaked water on the carpet in my room on my last night (May 17) in the early evening. The response was swift, I was told this was resolved and not to worry (the ceiling would not collapse). This seemed fine, things happen. But then after 11 PM when I was about to go to sleep, the ceiling started leaking on my bed. Action was taken but a slower leak would persist. It was over an hour before I was able to relocate to another room just to sleep with the plan to return to the room the next morning to get my things and check out. The next morning a manager called me and said they would comp the room for the one night, but I was still charged the Destination Fee and Occupancy Tax ($48.70) for the night.
When I first arrived, the woman who checked me in at 2 AM was very rude. I asked for a bottle of water at reception because they were always very generous with bottles of water in the past, and she replied that I had two complimentary bottles in my room. I asked "oh, you don't keep water down here anymore?" She replied, "we do but you have two complimentary bottles in your room." She would not give me one after my two delayed flights and Uber from Dulles. In fairness, she is the only rude staff member I experienced during my three stays at this hotel over the last one and a half years.

We had such a great experience at The Vue in Washington, DC! Manny provided outstanding service from start to finish—he was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were absolutely amazing, and the food exceeded our expectations. The chicken and waffles were exceptional—crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Between the incredible food, delicious cocktails, and Manny’s excellent hospitality, this was easily one of our favorite dining experiences in DC. We will definitely be back!
Carlos was the best server! He was attentive, thoughtful in his recommendations, and served us in a way that made us feel valued and heard. He was kind enough to accommodate our table shift request as well. Highly recommend you request Carlos!

Hotel Washington was a lovely hotel. Rooms were nicely appointed and quiet and the hotel location was nice for walking around D.C.
Celebrated a milestone birthday with hubby at Hotel Washington. The Vue was the highlight, eating great food and taking in all of Washington DC at dusk in June. Lovely time had by all!

You..... he was so attentive, personable and friendly. This was my first time in DC and his generosity and kindness made me feel great! The vue was breathtaking and can't wait to come back!!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Vue Restaurant. Our server, Manny, was fantastic! His upbeat personality and attentiveness made our experience complete. We look forward to coming back for the crab cakes and filet mignon. Not to mention the delicious desserts!
Manny was an excellent waiter . Friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. We all enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was wonderful.
