The hotel staff are wonderful, as was the location and the room. I would stay here again when next in Halifax.
The staff were wonderful! The pool, exercise options and hot tub were top notch. The concierge was kind and helpful.
Only 2 elevators to serve such a large hotel.
Clean and staff are excellent! Great walking distance to all. My blazer was late being dry cleaned. The cleaned it and couriered it to me in Wpg N/C. Exceptional customer service!
Beautiful hotel with rooftop patio . We had water view and some nights with the lights from the next door dinner theatre made it very romantic. Good breakfast. We enjoyed our stay
My husband and I just got back from a weeks long vacation to Nova Scotia. It was cold and rainy for most of the week but my stay at the Prince George was absolute sunshine. All of the staff was personable and concerned for you to have a quality stay. We went for the Guess Who concert at Scotia Bank Center, which was across the street from the hotel. The hotel was elegant looking. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a kingsize bed which was so comfortable. The room was large with ample bureau space, a fainting couch for lounging and a large desk. There was a nice little area for a coffee pot and a microwave. We stowed some silverware and paper plates there. The shower was nice and hot with good pressure. I enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner; It had a great smell. I lounged around in a robe they supplied. It was a very comfortable room. We had access to the 6th floor coffee lounge. I enjoyed a brewed to order cappuccino made with decaf coffee most mornings.
The bartender was skilled and personable and made a great cherry sour. The Gio restaurant was top rate. I tried a sweet potato and beet appetizer and had a strip steak for an entree. Every bite was exceptional even the vegetables served with the steak. I had a desert that was a sampler of all things vanilla and orange. This was a plate of vanilla and orange creams, curds, a little almond cake and a frozen vanilla yogurt which cleared the palate. I am not kidding when I said every bit was exceptional.
So Nova Scotia was nice. I got to see lighthouses, fishing villages, beautiful architecture. But staying at this hotel was a real treat and very memorable.
staff is nice.
the room was tired and small. The bathroom was past due for a renovation. Poor lighting very dark - Furnishings have seen better days
Excellent breakfast buffet. Parking is plentiful and not too expensive. Rooms are good. Cleaning staff is super efficient. There's a cool bar. There's a nice pool. There are tons of restaurants around including in the hotel. The AC is great. There was good water pressure and hot water. Unfortunately it was one of those fancy showers with half a glass wall so water got everywhere. There is a fridge. Bed was comfortable.
There was a group of hockey kids playing literal hockey in the hallway until about 10 at night WITH THEIR PARENTS WATCHING and staff did not address it effectively. The elevator to the parking garage is in the elevator bank with the elevators that went to the rooms but really wasn't marked clearly as such. Similarly the stairwell wasn't marked clearly. Just a couple of signs would help. It would be nice to be given a choice of pillows; all SIX were the stuffed kind that cause neck pain. Overall a posh place to stay.
Great central location. Underground parking on site.
Pool and hot tube are nice additional facilities
Spacious room, nice touch of daily toiletries (Mouthwash etc)
Bar area slightly small and lacking atmosphere, but plenty nearby to make up for it
Close to both the boardwalk and the Halifax Citadel. Staff was wonderful and the complimentary buffet breakfast was delicious.
It’s super convenient to everything , just short walk . Friendly staff ! They were quick to fix the issue within my stay when talking with them ! Would go again over and over
That it wasn’t cleaned properly this time around or that the shower turned into a tub cause it was clogged it was fully booked or I would have asked for a different room
Helpful friendly staff, great location. Comfortable rooms and beds.
We had to leave early for the airport so couldn't get breakfast and there was no to-go option. Many planes leave early from Halifax, so this is a bit of a bummer. Our room was near the elevators and very noisy. Price fairly high.
