Cons:

While hotel looks nice from outside, Rooms were dated and very basic. No boiler or drinking water. Charge $5 per luggage for storage if you want to leave luggage with the hotel.

Breakfast was supposed to be included but it was a small bagel, 1 ok and 1 hot drink.
Staff were rude and abrupt. They would not hold our luggage on last day we had to pay 5dollas per item. Room was very very small and hot. Bathroom was old and barely functional.

Unforgettable 4 nights in New York that exceeded all my expectations.
Pros:

Great location, easy access to subway and all planned venues to visit in Manhattan. This hotel harks back to an earlier chapter in New York’s history and the glorious Art Deco motifs, materials, fixtures and fittings made the stay extra special and memorable. The views from the 38th floor were jaw dropping. All the staff were friendly and helpful and there was a wonderful buzz in the magnificent lobby.

Cons:

The street level diner was okay but better options nearby.

Great location, clean and comfortable.
Pros:

Great location, think the rooms had been refurbished since we last stayed years ago. Very traditional NY hotel with a great diner attached. Close to Empire State and Times Square with Penn Station opposite so ideal base location.

Cons:

Clean and comfortable with old NY style.

A rip off like eveything else in New York

I should have just paid more to stay where standard services are included. Thought this was going to be a little bit budget friendly for the location but every little thing was a value add. Early check in with rooms available? $50. Want a little fridge? $50. Held luggage? $5 a piece. No cash. Busy, small and a rip off like most things on New York. Just pay more to stay somewhere better.

Location, vibes, staff, all perfect!
Pros:

Really lovely hotel, very worth the affordable price we paid. The views were incredible, room was spotless, the fixtures are so gorgeous and classic. The convenience next to Penn Station made getting all over manhattan a breeze.
Samira at the check in counter was such a welcoming start to our stay here. Probably the friendliest and most helpful hotel employee I’ve ever interacted with while traveling. Would absolutely stay here again.
