Cons:

It is a very old hotel. The rooms are smelly and there are no elevators. It does not look like the pictures. Most importantly, if you plan to use the shuttle, don't. We chose this hotel because of the airport shuttle option. The night before our early morning flight, we asked at the front desk about the shuttle, and they told us to give them 15 minutes' notice so the shuttle could take us to our flight on time. That is exactly what we did the next morning; we were all ready and asked them to call the shuttle for us, then went to wake up our little one. Ten minutes later, we were ready in the lobby with all of our luggage and our son. The lady at the front desk informed us that the shuttle drivers were exchanging shifts and that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes, not to mention how impatient and rude she was. Given the time of our flight, we ended up paying for an UberXL to take us to the airport.

Pros:

Wasn’t much for the price. The second most expensive hotel for our three week trip. Not the best way to end the trip but we needed the location

Cons:

Cleanliness of the overall motel. Better food choice in the restaurant. Had kids with us so took it all back to the room which was problematic for them eating

Works well for staying near the airport.
Pros:

Great location with a pretty good restaurant/bar and workout room. 24 hour airport shuttle. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Hotel shuttle may as well not exist. Called front desk 6 times from the airport to request shuttle. Was told to look for a white van (it turned out to be a dark gray van). After almost an hour of waiting at the airport, I just took a taxi. On return had to wait 20 min. in hotel lobby for shuttle to show up to take me to the airport. Front desk staff apathetic and mostly unhelpful.

Alaska high season rates are exorbitant for a basic airport hotel.

I had warned you. The travel agency had called you to let you know about my late arrival, and supposedly the manager had said "no problem".*

I stayed calm, but other people would have reacted differently.
I remained polite and didn’t say anything, but
other people would have reacted differently to being insulted like that, literally.

I was very patient, but I could clearly see that I wasn’t the only one waiting for the smallest things. There is clearly a lack of organization in the whole team.
A lack of motivation.
She spoke to me like I was a dog, like shit.
It’s unacceptable.
She has no patience, and I had to negotiate just to get back a cable I had forgotten in my bag that was in the luggage storage.
She said, “No, you’re going to book your own taxi,” and it was so complicated just to move my 2 bags to my new
room that I absolutely had to put them in luggage storage right away.
They are illiterate and don’t even know how to write a number correctly! We agree, what is that, an 8, a 0!
But no, of course she had to yell at me, and I’m not joking, she really did yell at me, literally.
The bar hours are not clear at all, and on top of that, if it’s to get yelled at, I didn’t even try.
We’re not in the army here: no, wake up, this is a hotel where you’re supposed to welcome customers and even try to get them to buy drinks, breakfast.
Failed. I went to have my breakfasts and drinks at the bar next door.

The only and single positive point is the location near the airport.
I wasn’t even allowed to get other clothes or a toothbrush because of that rude person.
It’s a shame, there’s a nice lake, a museum nearby. There was something more interesting to do .
