Amazing except for the bad odor in our rooms.
Pros:

Wonderful stay in a great location, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful interior. The breakfast in the garden was a real highlight, and the staff were polite, welcoming, and attentive. Having a private deck where you can take a water taxi adds to the unique Venetian experience and makes the stay feel truly special.

Cons:

There was an unpleasant smell in both rooms. Considering the price, I think something should be done to prevent sewage-like smells in the rooms.
We reserved two rooms on different floors, and unfortunately, both had a strong unpleasant odor, very similar to stagnant water or sewage that did not disappear after use of AC.

A truly exceptional hotel in Venice. The interiors are beautiful, distinctive and full of character, making the Metropole feel like much more than just a place to stay. I would definitely recommend choosing a room overlooking the canal — the view adds enormously to the whole Venetian experience.

What really sets the hotel apart, however, is the service. The concierge team deserves a special mention: everything was handled flawlessly and at the highest possible level, from excellent recommendations and restaurant arrangements to organising private water taxis whenever we needed them. Every request was dealt with quickly, professionally and with genuine attention to detail.

Even the smaller touches, such as arranging champagne in the room, were executed perfectly. This is the kind of service that makes a great hotel memorable.

An outstanding stay from beginning to end, and a hotel we would gladly return to.

Je ne reviendrais pas dans cet établissement. après 7 séjours à Venise c'est le plus mauvais.
Pros:

La vue de la terrasse mais beaucoup trop de guêpes pour prendre un repas ou un apéritif. Cela a beaucoup contribué à notre mécontentement parce que nous avons payé plus que pour une simple suite sans pouvoir en apprécier le service. Un grand bravo au chef, les plats étaient succulents. Réalisés avec gout.

Cons:

J'ai choisi cette hôtel parce que je pensais que le personnel parlait français. C'est loin d'être le cas. J'ai du demandé un menu en français il n'en avait pas. je leur ai tant bien que mal expliqué comment le traduire à l'aide de chatgpt. La baignoire devait être à remous, il n'en était rien, une simple baignoire. Entre les guêpes, une fausse promesse d'un personnel bilingue et une baignoire à remous qui ne faisait rien, cela faisait beaucoup de sources de mécontentement.

Das Geld nicht wert!

Die Lage war sehr gut, zentral und sowohl mit dem Wasserbus als auch zu Fuß gut erreichbar, in unmittelbarer Nähe des Markusplatzes. Das Personal war super freundlich und das Ambiente des Hauses war wunderschön.

Cons:

Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt hier absolut nicht. In einem 5 Sternehotel, wo die Nacht 400 Euro aufwärts kostet…. Muss ich für Spiegeleier und Lachs beim Frühstück einen satten Aufpreis zahlen? Das hatte ich in dieser Form noch nie in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie . Außerdem war die Auswahl des Frühstückbuffets sehr dürftig. Die Brötchen waren trocken, die inkludierte Eierspeise kalt, es gab keine Aufstriche. Desweiteren roch unser Badezimmer gar nicht gut, das wurde am 1. Tag mit so viel Raumduft überdeckt, dass wir es auch erst am nächsten Tag rochen.

Cons:

The hotel is very well located, and the staff are consistently kind and welcoming. I have stayed here several times, but unfortunately, I felt that the hotel has declined somewhat since my last visit.
It would benefit from some renovation and attention to detail in order to regain its former splendour. In particular, the bed linen, pillows, blankets, bathrobes, and hairdryers feel dated and should be renewed or replaced. Greater attention should also be paid to the thoroughness of the housekeeping and the overall cleanliness of the rooms.
I have always been fond of this hotel and sincerely hope it receives the care and updating it needs to restore the charm and quality I remember from previous stays.
