Ergonomics of the bathroom esp. for mobility impaired
Leckeres Frühstück mit einem super Angebot an Speisen. Kaffee und Tee werden serviert, was ich sehr schätze.
Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Der Blick aufs Meer beim Frühstück ist einfach fantastisch!
Die Fernsehprogramme im Zimmer waren sehr begrenzt. Es gab kein ZDF Programm.
The property itself is charming and beautifully located, with a lovely atmosphere and stunning views over the Côte d’Azur. The garden and pool area are elegant and relaxing, and the overall setting has a classic Riviera feel.
Unfortunately, several details did not fully match the high price level of the hotel. The bed was slightly worn out and not particularly comfortable, and dinner at the Jasmine Restaurant was rather underwhelming.
Rooms not facing the sea can also be noisy due to the nearby train line and street traffic. In addition, early mornings were often disturbed by housekeeping activity, with cleaning carts frequently parked and moved directly next to the room.
During my stay, the atmosphere around the garden and bar area was also occasionally affected by very loud and visibly intoxicated guests, mainly groups of American tourists, which took away from the otherwise elegant Riviera ambiance.
There also seems to be a significant problem with aggressive pigeons around the outdoor areas. Even when simply having a drink, pigeons would suddenly fly onto tables, knock things over and create a rather unhygienic atmosphere. Considering that even a glass of wine costs minimum around €19, one would expect this issue to be managed more effectively.
The small beach directly in front of the hotel appeared rather neglected and not particularly inviting. There was also no visible beach club setup at the time, although it may possibly open later in the season.
We had a great time at the Royal riviera. We traveled with our 18 month old son, and the hotel was very accommodating with a crib in the room, high chair at meals, floaties at the pool, etc. we stayed in the Orangerie building and the room was spacious and new. We booked through Amex FHR program, and received a room upgrade, which was much appreciated. Highlights for us included the wonderful breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean every morning, the beautiful pool (heated to a very comfortable temperature) with attentive staff, and the concierge and front desk staff, who were extremely helpful. On one evening, we missed the last train back from Nice and didn’t want to take a taxi with our son without a car seat. The concierge arranged for a taxi to come to the hotel, pick up our car seat, and come get us in Nice. As far as location, the hotel is right on the sea, a few towns over from Nice with easy transit or car options to all of the riviera. The peninsula itself has a lovely walking path that you can take into town. Overall a great stay, we would definitely return!

We had an incredible stay at Royal Riviera. All of the staff - from the front desk, concierge, breakfast host, to the bell men—were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Our room was wonderful with beautiful views and a nice, updated bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Jasmin as well. The location of the hotel is perfect for a walk in Cap Ferrat and as a base for exploring other areas. Highly recommend!
