Spotlessly clean, staff very friendly.
Even after free upgrade, rooms very basic, not worth the money we paid. Location was what we needed and had to pay the price.
Good atmosphere, beautiful room, comfortable bed en bathroom
My stay at Rathbone Hotel in London with my girlfriend was a genuinely wonderful experience. We were greeted with great warmth by an Australian receptionist, and from that moment everything was managed with professionalism and excellent coordination. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and the bathroom was equally pleasant and of good quality.Service was consistently good, and the location is outstanding, just a short walk from Oxford Street, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops. A particularly memorable touch was the hotel’s thoughtful gesture of leaving us a handwritten note accompanied by chocolates and champagne, which made us feel truly valued. We are very grateful to all the staff and will certainly return.
A few small improvements that would make the experience even better would be the addition of a small minibar or fridge in the room, in-room slippers, a compact steam iron for emergencies, and an improvement in Wi-Fi quality.
Location is excellent, rooms are comfy and new.
Wifi was weak
Great location and fantastic and friendly staff.
Comfortable and clean room, spacious.
Liked having the table and sitting chair to work on.
Plug sockets next to the bed a bonus.
Unsure if it was just our room, but it felt like the air conditioning unit wasn't cool enough.
The bathroom heated up significantly (it is a 3 month heatwave in the UK!) and the bedroom was cooler, but it was still quite wamr overnight despite putting the aircon on what we thought was the coolest setting.
Just a preference for us, but there was a motion detector light in the bedroom outside the bathroom, but it would turn on in the night when we turned over in bed (it was facing the bed) No big deal as we put a bag infront of it.
Room is small but clean, with AC (big plus in the heat) and basic necessities. Staff was super helpful. Location is great. Well insulated (no noise with the windows closed).
The hotel WIFI just does not work. I don't understand how in 2026, a hotel with this standing and price range, doesn't have a functioning WIFI. It's just unacceptable. During my entire stay, every single day we had to contact the staff about this. The staff was helpful and kind, they did everything they could to help with these issues, so it's not their fault. But the hotel management absolutely needs to prioritize fixing this.
Location was exactly where we wanted to be. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom spacious and the room big enough for two people, suitcases and all. Staff was amazing, so friendly, kind and helpful. Would totally recommend.
I know the hotel is being renovated, so I’ll keep it brief. They’ve obviously started with the rooms because they are immaculate and gorgeous. The elevator and lobby need renovations to match the style, but I trust that’s coming next. Nothing else bothered me at all.
We have been staying at The Rathbone for over 20 years, every time we go to London. Each time the stays have been exceptional, superb location for the West End, relaxed and discreet atmosphere, great rooms to suit everybody, value for money, supr clean, the best service we have ever had from all the staff which is so important as Kath, my wife, is blind.
I have stayed at the Rathbone several times for business over the last year and the team are fantastic. They are personable, welcoming and very thoughtful. For my last stay they organised me a birthday surprise in my room with cake amongst other treats - I really appreciated it especially being away from home on my birthday. The location of the hotel is great, super central yet also quiet. The rooms I have stayed in have all been clean, comfortable and quiet. It's undergoing some modernising at the moment, and that will only make it better in my opinion. For me though, it's the team that make it worth coming back to every time, I really appreciate them!
Het balie personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Kamer was prachtig en goed geïsoleerd. Bed fijn. Badkamer prima.

Under refurbishment so the restaurant was unavailable. It is was disappointing that we did not know this before visiting. However, we had a refurbished room which was absolutely lovely. We will stay again.
No access to a restaurant or breakfast. A light, complimentary continental breakfast supplied.
Great location and the room was very comfortable and clean.
Quite costly, as is usually the case for central London.
Clean and great room and location
