Comfortable stay in beautiful Crail
Pros:

Comfortable room. Decent tea tray. Lounge.

Cons:

Noisy and faulty water pump - we were warned about this and had to turn off at night.
One of us trapped fingers in window when trying to shut window at night.

Great, recommended, short-stay holiday base for adult couple - one is vegetarian.
Pros:

Located on quiet main road in central Crail (easily found), close to shops, chippy, picturesque views, etc, with efficient reception/welcome/checkout. Great, tasty, breakfast provision. Comforrtable, ensuite 2nd floor room, with two armchairs. Limited but good in-house choice of evening meals. Recommended for the active holiday traveller.

Cons:

No off road parking and no TV instructions. Unlimited Wifi but no upright table & chair (for active laptop use) may deter business/academic traveller - which I often am. Note in-house warning about low head-height on stairs, particularly if carrying heavy/awkward/lots of luggage. Evening eating options are limited, so be flexible! But this is nit-picking.....

Already covered.
Pros:

This hotel is a 16th-century coaching inn, and is attractive and atmospheric with an excellent pub with real ale, friendly staff and hearty breakfasts. Some limitations would be unfair to raise; as I say, this is a 16th-century building. But I do have to say that the shower in Room 9 was difficult to use, unresponsive, and dangerous. Also, in mopping up a bit of spillage on the floor accountable to evasive action to get away from unexpectedly hot water, it was noticeable that the floor had been quite dirty. The bed creaked and was of a poor standard, but I can sleep anywhere. The shower however would put me off from returning. I was in Crail for the East Neuk Festival and enjoyed my trip. I stayed at the Golf Hotel a year earlier, again during the festival, and the shower (in a top floor room) was satisfactory. So, in summary, many good things to report, but one thing would put me off coming back.

Cons:

I have already amswered this question.

Comfortable, enjoyable, relaxing - this is a small hotel in an historic building.
Pros:

The Golf is a small hotel in an old building - it creaks a bit. It's cosy, it has character and charm. The food is good; the public bar is small and welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel are friendly and efficient: a problem with our shower was dealt with effectively and rapidly.

Location - in the centre of the lovely Fife coastal town of Crail - is excellent.

Cons:

We had nothing to dislike.

Good basic lodging with a very warm staff and great location.
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff, decent dinner, lovely breakfast, very pub-like pub

Cons:

My room never got properly dark; the toilet makes a fearsome and prolonged growl upon flushing that is very loud.

Petit joyau sur la côte
Pros:

Nice friendly welcome and very central hotel.
Pros:

Great location, friendly helpful staff, good food. Welcoming and accommodating for the dog. Clean room and bathroom and good towels. Great location.

Cons:

The toilet flush stopped working early in the evening which seemed to be an ongoing plumbing problem. It would have been really good if the bathroom window could stay open.

Hotel was in a great location for walking the Fife costal path
The staff were really attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed a lovely meal and great breakfast

Cons:

The rooms were pretty basic, mattress wasn’t very comfortable
We stayed in the pittenweem room, facilities were standard, our biggest complaint was the shower and lack of water pressure

Well worth a visit and join the locals in the fron bar - magic!!!
Pros:

Hotel ideally located on the main street and had a car park at the rear of the property. Friendly staff and locals and we enjoyed a real social time in the cosy front bar. Loads of atmosphere. Evening meal was very good. Bedroom very clean and ideal foir our purposes. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

As an old property it's difficult to move freely, lots of stairs and corners to negotiate.
