I have used The Gardens Hotel before for overnight stays and will continue to.

Great location for gigs, all that could be required for simple overnight stay.

Location was excellent

Cons:

Breakfast was organised chaos. Not enough staff on to cope with people . Staff that were there so lovely and always apologising. Everywhere very tired and the hotel really needs a good clean and some maintenance carried out

Horrible area for the hotel.
Pros:

Room was comfortable. Breakfast ok.

Cons:

Location was central. But a lot of antisocial behaviour from homeless and drug addicts outside the hotel. Soon as you walk out .they are on you for money or fags

Pros:

La ubicación es excelente aunque hay muchos homeless en la zona, puedes llegar caminando a muchos sitios. El servicio tanto de recepción como del desayuno son muy amables.

Cons:

Es un hotel que necesitaría una reforma, nuestra ventana que daba a la calle, no cerraba bien, el suelo crepita cuando caminas y te hacen pagar 6 libras por habitación si quieres dejar la mochila al hacer el check-out.

Zentrale Lage, Zimmer leider enttäuschend
Pros:

Die zentrale Lage des Hotels ist sehr praktisch. Positiv war außerdem, dass uns nach erneuter Beschwerde am zweiten Tag ein anderes Zimmer angeboten wurde.

Cons:

Leider war besonders die erste Nacht in Zimmer 105 sehr unangenehm. Das Zimmer war extrem warm und ließ sich kaum abkühlen. Das Fenster konnte nur gekippt werden, direkt davor befand sich jedoch eine sehr laute technische Anlage, die regelmäßig ansprang. Hinzu kamen ein deutlich in die Jahre gekommener Zustand, Schimmelspuren sowie eine nicht funktionierende Lüftung im Badezimmer.
Enttäuschend war auch, dass wir unsere Probleme bereits am ersten Abend angesprochen haben, zunächst aber keine Alternative angeboten wurde. Erst nach erneuter Beschwerde am nächsten Morgen konnten wir in Zimmer 112 wechseln. Dieses war etwas angenehmer, allerdings ebenfalls hellhörig und auch dort funktionierte die Badezimmerlüftung nicht.
Am Vorhang war eine deutlich sichtbare Staubschicht vorhanden (siehe Foto).

Für ein oder zwei Nächte auf der Durchreise aufgrund der zentralen Lage noch in Ordnung, für einen längeren oder erholsamen Aufenthalt würden wir das Hotel nach unserer Erfahrung jedoch nicht wählen.
