Hotel de lo más recomendable
Pros:

Nos alojamos en uno de los apartamentos con piscina privada. La habitación enorme y muy cómoda para tres personas.
El desayuno fabuloso.
Tenía servicio de lavandería que también usamos.
Lo mejor el personal, muy atento y servicial.

Small slice of paradise in a friendly village.
Pros:

Il Frangipane exceeded all of my expectations. Sigirya was never even on our places to visit, but I am so glad we did. Il Frangipane is like a small slice of paradise. It is located on a peaceful side street off a local village road. Upon entry you are immediately made to feel welcome. Our girls were delighted with the complimentary fresh juice given to them everyday. Everyone we passed in Sigiriya smiled or waved at the children. And the theme of friendliness continues at Il Frangipane. The staff are truly exceptional here. Genuinely friendly, kind and couldn't be nicer to our children, particularly Nalaka. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The steps in the swimming pool were a little sharp!

Walking distance or short tuktuk ride to Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock
Flexible breakfast times so we could eat after hiking
We enjoyed eating at Kenoli restaurant next door

Prettig verblijf
Pros:

Bij aankomst heel vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel, die ons ook voor het rest van ons verblijf vriendelijk heeft geholpen!
De kamers waren erg ruim, met grote bedden, een goede airco en een mooie grote douche. Ook stond er een leuk bankje op de veranda voor als je lekker buiten wilt zetten.
Ontbijt is echt GEWELDIG, super lekker en ook nog eens veel. Zeker een aanrader om erbij te doen!
Daarnaast is de ligging ook prima, goed in het midden van alle bezienswaardigheden. Ook is het maar 5 minuutjes met de tuktuk naar het centrum waar je meerdere lekkere restaurantjes en leuke barretjes hebt zitten!
Als je in Sigiriya bent, zou ik dit verblijf zeker aanraden.

Cons:

De foto’s die bij booking.com staat zijn wel wat verouderd. Zo leek het voor ons dat het wat kleinschalig en meer privé zou zijn maar er zijn nu meerdere gebouwen bij/naast gebouwd. Nog steeds een erg goed verblijf.
Daarnaast is het laatste pad om van de grote weg naar het verblijf te komen, wel wat donker met veel zwerfhonden. Dat voelde niet helemaal fijn aan, wellicht een tip om daar iets meer verlichting te plaatsen.

Idyllic sanctuary.
Pros:

A beautiful sanctuary from the comings and goings of Sigiriya and a perfect place to base yourself for the wonderful travel offerings in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and it was great to relax by the pool after a day out walking around.
