For the money, it's a good place to stay.
Pros:

Overall, pretty good. Rooms are a little dated, but that's not something we mind at all. The room was clean, as is most of the property. It's pretty quiet, we really never really heard anyone else there. The location is convenient, 45 minutes from Nags Head and about 20 minutes to the Hatteras ferry terminal. There's an excellent breakfast spot 2 minutes away called the Orange Blossom Bakery & Cafe (highly recommend!). WiFi service is good, and doesn't require you to login every 24 like Hilton does. There's a nice black cat the hangs around the office and is very friendly.

Cons:

AC was a bit noisy, and we had to empty the dehumidifier tank 3 times a day. Couldn't figure out how to actually watch any over-the-air programming on the TV, but we usually plug in a laptop and stream something. The pool closes earlier than we would prefer. The window curtain can't be closed to get the room completely dark.

I would stay there again.
Pros:

Convenient location to restaurants. Room was nice and bed was super comfortable. Even on main road - you could not hear the noise.

Cons:

Bathroom could be updated as well as carpeting. The sink was very low.

Pros:

Cleanest place I've stayed in a while. New carpet, new bedsheets, clean, well maintained. Close to the beach. Pool. Lighthouse access. View. Communication from staff. Everything amazing. I absolutely recommend this place!

Not Clean! Poor Customer Service!
Pros:

Location was walking distance to the beach.

Cons:

One of the beds was covered in sand, on top of the comforter & between the sheets. It was after hours, unfortunately, so complained to the front desk the next morning. The first person I spoke to was an older man whose only response was to hold on & wait a minute. He got on the phone & we never saw him again. After waiting a bit, a younger female came to the desk. We explained to her the situation & her response was “Thanks for letting me know.”. We asked for some kind of reimbursement & she said there was nothing she could do. We asked for a manager & she stated she would have the manager call me. That never happened. Extremely poor customer service on top of an already bad situation.

Location, location, location! Just minutes from Hatteras Lighthouse, Frisco Native American Museum and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. It was a wonderful Sweet 16 birthday trip for our daughter. Memories for a lifetime!

We will not be staying here again unless the place gets a major renovation.
Pros:

The location is perfect. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants and an ice cream truck, and miniature golf. A short drive to the beach and the lighthouse.

Cons:

It needs to be updated/renovated. The beds are full sized instead of queen sized (unless you book a king bed suite). The sheets on one of the beds had stains all over them. There is no room service. I went to the lobby, picked out another set & changed them myself. Same with towels, you need more, you go get them yourself. Trash doesn’t get taken out either. Over half of the stations on the tv couldn’t be watched (poor signal). There was mold on the bathroom wall.
