Best position in Brisbane CBD. Beautiful river views. Lovely classic feel to hotel. Big bathroom, lovely hot shower, beds/pillows super comfortable. Always a treat staying here, my favourite hotel stay when visiting Bris

The breakfast location and breakfast was below average. The bar wasn't open on the Sunday night. Hotel requires a rennovation.
The location was, of course, wonderful. It is on the river with easy access to the park and the city.
It was in two words, Sad and Tired. It looked like it needed a good Spring Clean!
Location was good, the room was very nice with a great view of the river and bridge. Large bathroom with fantastic water pressure. Everything was very clean. Nice hotel to stay in. Great breakfast. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Friendly nice staff.
Mixed feelings. Visited this hotel in the 90s & it was the height of elegance. Sadly I feel it has not been kept up yet has massive potential. Bathroom big & lovely yet all sink/bath plugs broken. Beds comfy yet blocking entry to wardrobe( physically over the door). No ceiling lights in the room, only lamps - bizarre. Feels like it needs a massive injection of funds & love. Room service virtually stops at 9pm , after that 3 food items are available. A $30 wine bill charged at $136.00 and then to argue it. Sir Stamford Raffles would roll in his grave however the actual location and bones could become something incredible instead of a forgotten remnant. I have also stayed in the Stamford Hotel in Melbourne & it is in the same time warp/predicament. Have also stayed at Raffles and it is INCREDIBLE. I know the 2 companies are not related but please take a leaf from their book. Some staff were awesome, some hopeless. Kudos to the bellboy. I write this to hope that someone somewhere sees the huge potential in this hotel one day & for the now I guess it is quite cheap for its amazing location and views.
