Had an amazing time, stayed at the perfect spot right in the middle of all the activities we ended up doing.
Pros:

Beautiful views, amazing location, really felt like a vacation.

Cons:

There was one staff member when we first checked in who had a little attitude. When I go on vacation I want to feel welcomed.

Our suite was very easy to get to, on the onset. I especially liked that our room was quiet and fairly spacious. The water pressure in our bathroom -- the one with the tub -- was great! Also, the suite was quite clelian.

Cons:

I DID mention to the staff before we checked out that the shower curtain in our bathroom -- where the tub was -- was ripped up in a few places. Where the grommets were, the curtain was ripped in three places. Now, normally I would give a room/suite's bathroom like this a 4 out of 10, but I didn't. . . simply because the housekeeping staff may have overlooked this tattered and torn shower curtain that day!, and maybe they didn't get a chance to replace it when we got this room. I don't know. . . maybe they forgot? OR they genuinely left the torn curtain precisely so that a hotel guest such as myself would point this anomaly out and get this rectified as soon as possible. Either way, the torn up shower curtain was NOT a good look for Sonesta ES

Great value-for-money
Pros:

- staff were very attentive and helpful
- room had complete amenities--even dishwashing soap and sponge for us to use
- hotel is in a quiet area with dining places, shops & cafes within walking distance
- breakfast was a small, simple spread although tasty.

Cons:

- the bedding on my side of the bed seemed to smell rancid... like someone who used body oil lay there the night before I did. my husband's side of the bed, meanwhile, smelled ok
- lighting was ambient, could have benefitted from more lighting for packing at night, tho it wasn't really too bad
