Beds were comfortable and room was clean
The parking garage was hard to deal with. The turns were sharp and limited parking for $33 a night
The staff was professional and as accommodating as possible.
The first room we were given on the 8th floor rm. 822 was completely unacceptable the carpet was visibly filthy and worn and there was spider webs visible on the balcony.
Even though we lost the pool view that was paid for, the second room on the 2nd floor rm. 216 was a bit more accommodating and cleaner, but although the room was cleaner we lost our clearview of pool and overlooking of the partial view of skyline the 3rd floor constant shuffling and shuffling across the floor by customers and cleaning staff tarnished the pleasantness of enjoying the room.
Although the staff waved the $35+ daily parking fee which was completely ridiculous! I would sum up that my anniversary at the Doubletree wasn't as great as I hoped it would be.
Nada, me canceló el hotel sin razón alguna
Todo, me canceló el hotel sin razón alguna
In stead of all their other locations I felt so unwelcome here.
I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Hotel Circle as a Hilton Honors Gold member, and while the hotel itself is decent, my experience with the Food & Beverage credit and corresponding service was disappointing.
As a Gold member, I expected the daily Food & Beverage credit to apply to food and drinks within the hotel, which is how it is commonly handled at many other Hilton properties. However, I was informed only after being charged that alcohol is excluded at this specific property.
This restriction was not clearly communicated at check-in or beforehand, which created confusion and resulted in unexpected charges on my bill. The benefit therefore felt inconsistent and misleading compared to the broader Hilton Honors experience.
I fully understand that individual properties may have their own policies, but clearer communication would make a big difference and avoid situations like this. At the moment, it undermines what is otherwise a valuable loyalty benefit.
I hope the hotel (and Hilton more broadly) can improve transparency around these rules, as it would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Room smelled like tobacco, bathroom had rust in the shower.
Sadly this hotel used to be a great place to stay, however the management here has let this Hilton fall apart. Everywhere you look you see signs of major wear and tear. Furthermore, simple things like keeping it clean are being overlooked. The pool deck was filthy and turned our feet black. There are stains all over the carpet. The trims on the door of the rooms is popping off. We changed room 3 times and each one was worse than the other. If there is a connecting door you hear everything from talking to toilets flushing in the room next door. See our pictures before you book, it was horrible.
Didn’t have breakfast there just because the night prior the restaurant should of been open and operating but when I went to get drinks for my husband and granddaughter who were in the pool nobody was there to serve me or to say something in the restaurant area. The front desk told me someone will be there in a minute but nobody show up even thou I could here the background noise in the kitchen somewhere. Therefore we figure service on that area of the hotel was not worth trying being coffee lovers didn’t want risk it on not getting our morning coffee on time . We went and stayed at another Hotel in the area .
N/A
It was very dated and dingy! People smoking in their rooms setting off the fire alarm at 5am, just awful!!! Price for the small breakfast was ridiculous!
Staff was nice and friendly easy check in. Good location
Room had a strong mold / mildew smell it was almost unbearable. There was a strange loudly piercing alarm that went off around 5am in our room for no reason. Beds were fine but the rest of the room needs updating and fixing.
