I really enjoyed my hotel that was very pleasant and very clean, and the staff was very pleasant especially Catherine sales representative. I really appreciated her smile her empathy sympathy, a present words
Room was very clean and comfortable. Pretty good breakfast included. Water machine available, near the lobby restrooms. We had a "city view" room, which means facing the freeway and parking lot, so no view really. A room facing the water was significantly more $. I didn't mind the white noise of the cars and appreciated the black out type shade that made the room very dark, easier for sleeping. I liked that this is a hotel with the rooms accessed from the inside. It seemed much safer than the motel next door. I liked that it was right on the water, though I wish the walking path outside was longer. A large part of it next door was damaged and fenced off.
They wanted an extra $17 to park in the lot, but there was plenty of street parking just beyond the lot. I would have preferred a room with a view of the water, but the room was already a little pricey and I didn't want to pay so much more for it.
I have been staying at this hotel for 7 yrs. It is the hotel the company I work for put me up in. there is no better service by the staff in all the hotels that I have stayed in my lifetime. Especially, Luis Ortega. he won't hesitate to go out of his way to provide 5 star service . And, as I check in I can't help but notice how he never looses patience with someone who is rude. If it was my hotel , I certianly would give him a more responsible and higher paying position. respectfully.
I highly recommend this hotel. The location is n easy trip to San Francisco or down town Oakland. Hotel is on the water , with a nice outdoor sitting area, flowering tree, nice outdoor swimming pool & hot tub overlooking the water way. Food was very good. A better free breakfast than most, different every morning. I even had some juicy kiwi fruit. A nice open comfy lounge, with bar & dinner every evening starting at 5:30pm. Delicious salmon and steak, burgers, chicken stripe and more. Our room was clean and comfy. The staff was helpful and friendly. We got to know Kevin, who was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed 4 nights, visiting our kids who live in the area. We will come back again on our next visit. Wr toured many places in San Fran & Oakland. Then heading north to see the Red Woods.
My experience is always pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable. The staff is great , housekeeping and Sale director Catherine is wonderful see make sure your comfortable and you are satisfied. Breakfast is nice you have all variety of breakfast to choose from. I will always recommend this Hotel to my friends and family. Thank you Catherine for helping me with my stay.😊
Maria, Milton, Enrique, are great with their services. Attitude and personality fit perfectly and makes staying at the hotel enjoyable!
Comfy, clean, convenient access to freeway. Nice view of water.
Breakfast was eh. Room facing freeway was a little loud, not terrible.
Enrique,
And Milton
Awesome front desk service, hospitality and courtesy.
I am very pleased with my visit.
5 star service
I liked the bed.
I didn't like that they charged me EXTRA for a "water view" room, when I couldn't even see much of the water because it was dark. Why offer to "upgrade" me if im not going to get anything out of it? That was quite the scam, and ultimately I am upset that I paid extra since I was only staying there one night.
Check in was a breeze, as Kim handled everything efficiently and professionally. My waterside room was quiet, comfortable, and relaxing, and the view was amazing. The bed and pillows were soft and welcoming and my dinner was delicious, so I honestly have no complaints. I’d recommend the Executive Inn & Suites to any fellow traveler.
Front desk attendant Kim was very helpful and polite. Check-in was fast and easy. Hotel was easily accessible from where I work. Rooms are always clean and well put together. All in all great experience.
Catherine and Enrique were the best! Breakfast staff and housekeeping were on point!
I work in transportation and frequently stay at the Executive after the outbound leg of my trip. The front end staff always has our rooms prepared no matter what time of day we get in. We are always greeted by name. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. There is always a fresh complimentary breakfast, and they keep fresh coffee all day. Maria and the rest of the front end realize the quirks of our industry and are always as accomidating as possible. I consider the Executive a second home.
We are a regular in this hotel and everyone is so great, employees are so professional and kind, I want to shout out to Catherine for being so nice and helpful to us always!
Clean, nice view of water
Would prefer healthier / low sugar more protein options at breakfast
The front desk staff were not welcoming, and their attitude during check-in was disappointing. It made the experience feel uncomfortable from the start. We stayed here for a family trip over the long weekend and had multiple reservations. To save time, I came first to check in one room under my name while the rest of my family parked the car, brought in luggage, and planned to check in later.
The check-in process itself was a little slow, but that was completely fine, every hotel has different systems and procedures. However, the issue was the front desk staff member’s attitude.
When my family members arrived and also wanted to check in, his attitude suddenly became noticeably impatient and rude. At first, I thought maybe he could only process one reservation at a time because the check-in setup didn’t even look like a proper front desk, and I honestly considered asking another staff member to help us instead.
He then said that if we had told him earlier that we had multiple reservations, he could have arranged our rooms together. I thanked him and politely told him that it was totally fine if the rooms were not together. Instead of simply moving forward, his attitude became even worse. He handled everything extremely slowly while acting visibly annoyed and unfriendly.
I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced such poor front desk service. If someone does not want to work in customer service, they should not be in a front-facing role. During just a few minutes of check-in, he made guests feel genuinely uncomfortable. I was not expecting overly cheerful service or even a smile, just basic professionalism and courtesy.
Before booking, I noticed several reviews mentioning “not friendly front desk staff.” After this experience, I now understand exactly who they were referring to.
It’s unfortunate because this hotel does not deserve lower ratings because of one staff member’s poor attitude. Management should seriously consider better training and whether certain employees are suited for front desk positions. Customer service requires patience, professionalism, and basic friendliness, and unfortunately, this staff member showed none of those qualities.
