Zeit, dass das Hotel in neue Hände kommt!

Die Lage

Cons:

Es ist unmöglich, dass das Einchecken nur im Hotel Schütz geht und es auch dort Frühstück gibt (ein paar hundert Meter aufwärts). Veloraum oder die Möglichkeit, die Akkus aufzuladen = Fehlanzeige, nur dank Intervention beim Receptionisten noch machbar.

something has changed, for cost efficiency reasons i believe . so less positive customer experience

location can not be greater ( maybe not be the same if you come by car , due to pedestrian zone and remote parking ).
small but complete café corner at 1 floor ( but not clearly indicated )

Cons:

2nd time i come, so i did not check the message in booking (in german by the way, so can not read) that said that checking is at another place. btw i never check the messages in booking , as they re usually useless.
there s a way to call the other place from the lobby , but nobody answered. was not appreciated by me to have to wait 20min at 9.30pm before to make the check in.
breakfast is also at the other hotel, good hill climb to go there. i had the impression that guests from the other hotel are separated, and got a more complete breakfast ( in term of variety) .
room is simple. ok enough for me for one night , but it s true one can also find some more fancy places nowadays.
no AC , but this was written
i had to struggle to find where to plug chargers, and lights would switch off/on by themselves ( contact issue i believe , or something damaged)
TV with only 2 or 3 channels in french ( Fr is one of the official CH language)

The view of the Rhine from the bedroom

Cons:

When we booked there was no indication that secure parking offered by the hotel for our bikes and breakfast would be quite a walk (5 mins uphill) from our hotel at the sister hotel. This information is very relevant to us as bikepackers.

Een mooie kamer met een prachtig uitzicht over de rivier
Pros:

Een mooie kamer maar wel met een hoge temperatuur. Er staat een waaier in de kast, zorgt voor iets verkoeling.
Het balkon verschaft je een prachtig uitzicht over de brug en rivier.
Het ontbijt was prima en het personeel uitermate vriendelijk

Cons:

Na het boeken van dit hotel kreeg ik een bericht dat we moesten inchecken in een ander hotel.
Daar kregen we de mededeling dat er ook het ontbijt werd verzorgt.
Dit mogen ze best vermelden in de advertentie op Booking. Je moet dus telkens op en neer door een stijl straatje. Voor ons geen probleem maar wel voor mensen die wat slechter ter been zijn.
Advies: pas op met het het eten onder in het restaurant. Het is er hartstikke duur, niet lekker, en de dame die ons het eten serveerde was nogal onvriendelijk en stug. (ik weet niet of dit restaurant bij het hotel hoort)
Ook had een waterkoker of koffiezetapparaat welkom geweest, ik vind dat dit altijd aanwezig moet zijn.
Morgens douchen is een ramp, de straal van het water is zeer zwak en koud. Je staat in het bad met een douchegordijn

Tolle Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Kostenloser Kaffee auf dem Stockwerk. Frühstück im anderen Hotel 3 min zu Fuß. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Pros:

L’emplacement et le plaisir de pouvoir le lendemain faire 3 heures à la piscine d’un autre hôtel de ce groupe.

Très vieillot, et le débit de la douche très faible.
