Great location. Easy book in and out. Room ready when we arrived long before 3.
No refreshments in room. Very small
Great location and the dining room is fab.
The hotel feels like it hasnt been upkept much, lots of scuffs and marks all over the walls in the bedroom and walls in corridors.
Also theres not a coffee machine in the room so had to keep going down stairs
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hotel Oratio and if the opportunity arises to return to Paris, we will stay there again. Adam and the Madam at Breakfast were very welcoming and hospitable.
LOCATION: We found the hotel to be just in the outskirts of the areas of tourist interest (i.e. Pantheon, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, Lux Gardens, etc) so it's about a 10-15 minutes walk to and from the sites. This location seemed to have more locals than tourist which was a pleasant surprise for me. There are many eateries around the hotel and much more in the 6th Arrondissement which is a 10-15 min walk. If you are looking to eat the famous French pastries, then this is the hotel for you. There are 4 boulangeries and patisseries located just around the corner, a couple more across the street and many more along the Saint Germain Boulevard- so many to choose, so little time. There is an local open market around the corner every Saturdays and Tuesdays with a wide variety of local vendors selling prepared foods, cheese, meat, fish, clothing, etc.
BREAKFAST: If you love to eat a wide variety of breakfast items like I do (pastries, yogurt, eggs, meat, cheese, fruits), then you’ll enjoy the buffet breakfast downstairs. The hotel has their own Exclusive pastry chef that bake all the pastries fresh every day. I would say the croissants are equally (or better) than the ones at the boulangerie.
GREAT VALUE: The hotel has a filtered water station in the lobby area which serves cold, room temperature and hot water. Bring your insulated water bottles and save from buying water at the store. In addition, there is a Nesspreso machine which also serves brewed coffee, cappuccino, latte and a wide selection of tea bags. All free for hotel guests!
For first time visitors please note that the hotel (like many hotels around Paris) are quite “compact”. Expect the rooms, corridors, bathrooms and even elevators to be “space efficient”. Elevator fits two people comfortably, three would be max. Large luggages were brought up one at a time. But this is typical living in a densely populated city like Paris.
The hotel seemed recently renovated with new flooring, painting and with simple furnishings. Again, with the compact living theme, the closets and drawers were cleverly integrated into the walls to achieve the minimalist look. This means that there’s not much counter space in the room, bathroom and shower to conveniently leave your toiletries and things around. TIP: bring extra hangers, toiletry bags with hooks and even little suction cups with hooks for additional storage space.
Unfortunately, we did not get cleaning services two out of the eight days we stayed there. The housekeeping staff came too late to clean our room and we were too jet-lagged to bother. Thankfully, we kept our room tidy and all we needed was a change of towels.

Staff were very helpful and friendly
No English breakfast tea.
Professional front desk staff and very helpful. Property was well maintained and in a good location. Nice lift available. The room was light, airy and very clean. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. They offer a delicious breakfast in a cozy nook downstairs.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
Everything was perfect, the hotel is beautiful. Adam at the reception is a super nice guy and he is the bright light of the hotel. Would stay there again and I would reccomend the stay there anytime.
The manager is rude with unnecessary comments and wierd attitude. Otherwise all is super great.
The hotel is located two blocks from the Maubert Mutualite Metro and a few minutes walk to the Seine and the bridge. The room was clean and there is complentary coffee in the lobby. I suffered a heart incidence and the staff rushed to help and call the medics. They packed up and stored my belogs while I was hospitalized. When I returned they gave me a beautiful room overlooking the street and church. I recommend room 209. The windows open and there was no street noise. I can't praise the compassion and care of the staff enough.
