Centrally located, clean comfortable small room

The proximity to attractions (particularly tivoli), the train station and metro was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were worried about the location based on other comments about sex shops, but honestly it’s one shop across the road and it’s not a problem. We felt safe with our 4 year old, even when walking back to the hotel later at night. Breakfast was excellent and everything was refilled regularly. Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would stay there again.

Absalon Hotel is conveniently next to the train station. The room are spacious with air conditioning, wifi, and refrigerator. Rooms are very clean. Staff is extremely nice. They were great help with dining recommendations and hailing a taxi.

Breakfast was complimentary that offered a large selection of food including vegan Smørrebrød with vegan cheese and vegan deli slices.

Our room faced the courtyard. It had no noise from other guests or anything outside.

We had a great stay here during our week in Copenhagen. The hotel is central by the train station. But manages to be quiet and not too noisy. The courtyard was nice for a drink and some snacks.
We were in a family room and space was ok. We managed. The shower was a bit wayward and unless you were careful it soaked the bathroom.
There was an air con unit which we had running through the nights to keep the room a good sleeping temperature.
The reception team were always really helpful and we were allowed to check in a bit early and out a bit late which made our stay even easier.
Breakfast can be manic, don’t go at peak time, but do go downstairs and use the second self service area there for a quieter experience. There is a coffee pot on each table. The coffee is ok, I didn’t ask for a latte so not sure if they do. They do have teapots and tea bags for those that like tea.

Als ich um 15 Uhr aus dem Zimmer ging, davor hatte ich das nicht stören Schild, war mein Zimmer geputzt. Mega toll.

Central location and good clean room. Being robbed in reception however spoilt our Copenhagen break. As we booking in at reception a man stole my wallet from my bag. The thief was clearly caught on the hotels CCTV taking my wallet and going into the hotel bar. The staff said it was nothing to do with them. I was joined by another hotel quest who said her husband had had his wallet stolen between the station and the hotel. I was told that in Denmark it was the victim who had to report a crime to the police. (Zero murders then!) Eventual the hotel manager agreed to send the video to the police and assured me he would report the crime. On checking out I was assured that they would contact me about matter. Four months have now passed without a word. So much for duty of care.

The hotel as such is OK, but we got a check-in that was - by far - the worst we’ve ever had. A gum chewing snotty young girl approached us in a way that was totally unacceptable: hugely rude, very unkind and below any basic standards. We’ve travelled around the world but literally never experienced this kind of rude behaviour anywhere. Very disappointing! Our advice: find yourself another hotel, with decent staff at reception.

We loved our stay here. It is well placed and within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff on reception (both Italian and Danish) were all very helpful in guiding us on the best places to visit. There are some nice bars close to the hotel and the bar in the hotel is cosy and welcoming.

Det var tæt på centrum. God service, fint værelse, dejlig morgenmad.

We chose the Absalon for its air conditioning (in the superior rooms) and proximity to the central train station and nice restaurants. We were glad for the AC as it was in the low 80’s at the end of July. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the staff very helpful. They helped us with the public transportation app and got us a very nice cabbie when we were headed to the cruise terminal. The lighting in the bathroom could have been better and the cleanliness in the elevators should be addressed. There’s a lovely bar with comfortable indoor seating plus an outdoor courtyard with seating. All in all, a nice place to stay. Definitely make reservations for the restaurants you want to go to.

Some basic housekeeping mistakes. Good location to train, tivoli, good bar area. Expected a bit more for a suite.

We were exhausted, hot and hungry when we arrived. We easily got checked in, showered, immediately fell asleep on the crisp white, clean bed with air temperature control. Then we woke up and found amazing vegan food at the end of a block, about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The front desk staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and had a sense of humor. What more could you ask for?
