The Pool and Hot Tub will be closed for renovations and improvements from Jan 5th to Feb 5th, from Feb 5th to Feb 12th the Hot Tub will not be heated above 95 degrees. After the 12th both Hot Tub and Pool are back to opening hours of 8am to 10pm daily.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Pros:

We were extremely happy with our stay. The location was excellent, and the staff was amazing. There was great attention to detail, and everything was thoughtfully prepared to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional! Great location and wonderful staff
Pros:

Great location with overnight on-site parking available. You exit the pool gates right onto the ocean walk path with 2 beach access points very close by and the room views are wonderful. There's a lot to go into but here's the TL:DR version - excellent location, spacious rooms with good amenities and views, and amazing staff!

To dig into it, all the staff are super friendly and helpful! The service is top notch, including turndown service with designer chocolates, and convenient poolside food and beverages (our kids thoroughly enjoyed the virgin pina coladas). The rooms are large with space for a family to easily navigate and store their belongings out of the way. Beds and pillows are comfy and the TV is large. The toilet and shower are separate from the sink and vanity area which is great when you are traveling with a family. The 2nd and 3rd story partial rooms have a true view of the ocean and plenty of balcony space to hang out on.

Amenities wise, they take the cake - extra large bath towels, makeup mirror, plates/silverwear/drinkware, larger mini fridges, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and complimentary bottled water. At check-in and the pool, the complimentary amenities continue with quality Hurley boogie boards, sand toys, sports equipment, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, pool side cookies, and ice water/lemoade/ice tea jugs. and the 2nd and 3rd story partial view rooms have a great ocean views.

The pool has quite a few tables, one with a fire pit for the evenings, and the pool is heated and feels wonderful. The lounge chairs are padded and comfy and they always keep lots of pool towels stocked.

We've been to San Diego quite a few times and this has been our best hotel experience. Highly recommend!

Thanks for another great vacation!
Pros:

We have been vacationing at the Pacific Terrace Hotel for 10 years now. We are treated like family from check in to it’s time to leave. The hotel provides spectacular views for morning coffee to afternoon cocktails. You are steps away from the beach. If you decide to stay poolside you are provided with great ocean views. (It’s like going to the beach without sand in your shoes :) ) There are so many great restaurants within walking distance the hardest part is choosing where to eat. If you are like me and do not like spending time in the car on vacation this area is great. With so many choices for your vacation dollar you can’t go wrong saying here.

Great facility, location and staff.
Pros:

We have stayed in a beach front suite on prior occasions; the side room suite we had this time suffered due to early AM street and alley noise, particularly trash removal from near by buildings. Will stay again, but always in upgraded suite.

Great boutique hotel right on the beach
Pros:

This is a great boutique hotel right on the beach that lived up to the hype and all the reviews I read. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. They all seemed to truly enjoy working there. We were also impressed with the consistent cleanliness of the hotel and our room for the entire stay. The turndown service was such a nice touch at the end of our busy days and the little chocolates were fabulous.

Best ocean front hotel in Pacific Beach
Pros:

Amazing location and the ocean view rooms are spectacular. Easy walk to Mission Beach or La Jolla. Surf lessons nearby. We didn't use the bikes but wish we had the time to do so. The hotel was booked and bustling with a lot of happy families spending time together. It was very convenient having the mini fridge and microwave in the very spacious, well appointed room. Great sized balcony.

Location was great. Close to everything. Big room. Comfortable beds. Huge balconies.

Cons:

Tub shower combination with big step in. Sink had an unpleasant odor in drain. Room service line was constantly busy during breakfast hours.
