Great location but poor maintenance throughout - quite dated.
Pros:

Location is second to none. A few minutes walk to Bourbon street and not more than 10 minutes to walk to the French market and more or less the same to walk to where you can get your boat trips.
The two pools were fine, although I only used one.
The bed was comfortable enough and there is a fridge in the room.
The lobby area looked nice and you can buy a few items to eat/drink here.
I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment.
I would return myself just on the good comments above, IF I couldn't locate a place better, however, if I was to take the missus, I doubt she would have been too happy.

Cons:

Leaking roof in the room which I reported. You could see it was historic as it had tape over it. As it was just a slight drip once in a while and onto the floor not the bed, I was happy to stay as I was only there 2 nights. I reported it anyway. The lock to get in the room was a bit temperamental and the air con very poor. The bath/shower taps had to be operated in a certain way (hold the main fixing while turning the tap), otherwise the whole fixing turned and nothing happened.
There was quite a leak from a ceiling downstairs on approaching the lobby and in the two days I was there, only seen a yellow cone to warn of the pool of water.
The receptionist didn't seem to happy when I appeared late at night to check in. Not my fault and we've all worked nightshift before!
I noticed a can sitting next to the pool and towels left on one of the beds when I left the property in the morning. On my return later in the afternoon, I noticed them still there when I went down. There just appears to be a lack of general tidying up and good maintenance around the place. Probably not enough staff and underpaid I can imagine.
So, to sum it up, I guess this place is busy most of the year, so they need to start spending some money on it, investing in the premises and the staff. Good luck

I'll never come back.
Pros:

NOTHING

Cons:

The place is FILTHY. Roaches by the pool and in the rooms. Rodents literally running around outside. Hair in the sheets and in the shower. The place is a dump.

Historic place with great amenities
Pros:

The location is absolutely perfect to enjoy quality time in New Orleans French Quarters. The hotel has good history and provides good experience as they have unique antiques on display throughout the property including the rooms.
They also have good amenities such as free coffee, tea and water for hotel guests. The atmosphere and service comes at a good value. There are 2 swimming pools and nice gardens.

Pros:

Las instalaciones hermosas

Cons:

Total no pude dormir

Solo trip
Pros:

I stated this property many times, I had a last-minute need to go to New Orleans a day earlier than I expected. I spoke with Tyler the phone and he was able to get me a great room rate at the last minute. Another gentleman helped me during my checkout and assistingme to my room yesterday, but Tyler was there this morning when I checked out and he could not have been more gracious and helpful. I have always liked this property. Miss Kim is amazing. She’s helped me on numerous occasions. I would highly recommend staying here to any future guest. You’re not only staying in a very historical hotel but you feel like everyone cares about all your needs during your stay. The property has been updated. The courtyard is beautiful and colorful. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

The French Quarter hotel
Pros:

Great location and friendly staff, helpful. The hotel is really pleasant to stay, bringing you to antique times. The refreshing pools in the afternoon after a walks warm New Orleans were really enjoyable!

Cons:

The air conditioning is good. However, the outside machines make noise that is heard in the room or if you are at one of the pools.
