I was disappointed in the appearance of the hotel I grew up in Boulder and this used to be an upscale hotel it is now very rundown. No longer has a restaurant for dinner. We used to love the Broker dinner restaurant.
Location was fine except for proximity to a freeway. It seems to have some history, which was interesting. The wifi worked. The bed was adequate though nothing to write home about. Front desk folks (the only staff we interacted with) were courteous and did the best they could with the little the hotel has to offer.
This is a BARE BONES hotel. The only amenities are coffee in the former coffee bar, free wifi, and a pool next to the highway. No coffee in the room, no information sheet, no breakfast, no frills of any sort. (There were TV, microwave, barely adequate refrigerator, and hair dryer, but those aren't really frills). First room they offered us smelled like vomit and the second one merely smelled funky. Bad smells everywhere, in fact. They called it a "king room" but it had only one full-size bed. Bare, empty room in the hall where presumably an ice machine used to be. I could go on. . . definitely a "Shining" vibe. Might not have felt quite so bad if we hadn't paid almost $500 for two nights. In fairness, I did meet a couple of guests who liked the place fine; to each his own I guess. But buyer beware!
Very expensive vs the quality.
The hotel was fine for the reasonable price paid.
The restaurant was not open.
The location and orice
The condition of the hotel, needs tlc
Had to change room due to clogged toilet actually
Literally nothing.
The hotel was under construction so the bar, game room, pool etc were not open and this was not known before hand. It looked nothing like the pictures and the man at the front desk told me they pay for google reviews and pictures.
Very dated. Old. Way overpriced. No amenities.
Front desk staff were really nice and accommodating.
Truly a disappointment from The Broker years ago. Very outdated furnishings that just aren't functional anymore ie: armoire with tv in it. Layout of the room is bad. All repairs done in bathroom were very noticeable. Tile needs recaulking. Mold and mildew on bathroom ceiling. They lock up the lobby from 11:00PM TO 7:00AM so you have to walk all around the outside of the building to get to your car.
No breakfast available
Building is old and run down ! Took a few attempts to find a suitable room. Greeted by a very unfriendly employee at check in. Clearly didn't like his job.
The entire situation !!
The location was great as I was attending event at Williams Village on CU's campus which was a short walk away. The staff was great, very helpful and friendly.
The decor is dated. The furniture and everything worked, just dated. It's kind of fun but I couldn't help but wonder how old that carpet was. Looking behind the nightstand, I could imagine a family of mice finding it quite comfortable.
The staff was friendly!
The third floor was horrible. As soon as you step off the elevator, you're met with a cloud of cigarette smoke and overflowing trash in the hallway. Once I entered the room, I was greeted with a piece of the wall on the ground and an outlet hanging out of the wall. The bathroom was dirty. There was hair in the bathtub, the toilet was not working, there were tiles missing from the walls, and the cabinets had holes in them!
The mattress was not a normal hotel mattress. It was old and yellow. The bed frame was weak, and the headboard was dirty. There were mirrors all over the room that were dirty or covered in paint. The AC was running but not pushing out cold air. The room was HOT!
Price
The bed wasn't comfortable.
Location
