Didn't meet my expectations of a 5 star hotel

Lobby was lovely
Room sizeable and comfortable
View of the park was beautiful

Cons:

No sound proofing. You hear the neighbours showering and filling the bath- people in hallways.
Hallway and elevator vents were all thickly covered in dust.
Wifi isnt included in cost of the room- which is absurd given the cost of the room- we stayed for 4 nights.
Payment was by card only- then we were charged a card surcharge- increasing the cost of the already expensive room by 1.5% - theres no way to pay to avoid this- feels money grabby.

Ordered a room with a spa and it didn't work, the bathroom tap leaked across the counter, and the coffee machine only had 1 coffee pod for 2 guests.

Rubbish service, our room was let to another party.

Booked this property in November 2025 and paid for it at the same time. On 15th May 2026 at approx 14.00, the day of our check in, I received a call from Pullman to advise that our booking could not be honoured as the hotel was full???. They arranged another hotel for the night with NO consultation with us. We did not have a car so that was an issue. When we arrived at the Pullman they insisted the hotel was fully booked even though we booked in November 2025 and that we had no choice but to go to the other site. The night manager at the other site was great, she upgraded our room and was very helpful unlike the Pullman.

Great hotel in a good location
Pros:

Nice hotel with good size rooms. Our room overlooked the shrine and Hyde Park with views of the city skyline. Quick walk into the city and to Oxford Street the other way. Trains and buses nearby.

Was excellent
Pros:

I had left my AirPods in the hotel and checked out, the guys at reception and housekeeping were really helpful and found them. Then they delivered it to me via Aus post.
