The room was excruciatingly hot with no fan. Only 2 sockets in a twin room. One for the TV and another for the kettle. The window we were scared to open in case it fell out. There was a very dirty ripped half a net curtain over the window. The bathroom was filthy, covered in black mould, the shower curtain was mouldy and covered in soap scum, no lock on the door, the wall bracket broken for the shower and no plug in the bath so we were unable to have a proper shower or bath. No working ventilation in the bathroom and the flush for the toilet hanging out. Just generally grubby all over in there. The fire door on the corridor near our room was so noisy and was opening and closing all night long. The lifts were hit and miss so took the stairs and it looked like someone had peed in the corner on one level. I have complained both at the hotel and via booking.com and the hotel won't even acknowledge me. I've received an £8.75 credit, not even 10%, an absolute insult.
The location was perfect for our evening.
As a lot of reviews state, the hotel could really do with an update.
Läget då det var hyfsat centralt i London och att det gick att få ett rum för fyra personer till ett mycket bra pris.
Rummet var aningen ”sunkigt” och städningen skedde inte så ofta som vi hade hoppats på (en gång på fem dagar). Det fanns verkligen inte heller något annat på hotellet än vårt rum.

Schimmel Waschbecken Armatur fiel fast auseinander Dusche defekt.lautes feiern von Gästen und trotz Beschwerde kein eingreifen des Personals bis morgens um 5 Uhr. .Fenster zur Straße ließ sich schließen defekt. Gardinen fielen ab.

Ett forferdelig hotell. Motbydelig møkkete og dårlig vedlikehold. Blandebatteri i dusjen var helt løst- masse mugg. Ekstremt harde,vonde senger. Dyner å puter som var rett å slett motbydelig. Bildene snakker for seg..

Kettle had rust water at the bottom and was unusable, my door didn’t open and I had to get the reception to open it every time I came in, the toilet seat was broken, shower broken, I was unable to shower all weekend
Das Zimmer war nicht sauber. Schimmel an dem Duschvorhang, ein Brandloch im Wandrücken des Bettes sowie Flecken.
Keine Klimaanlage vorhanden, das war bei unserem Aufenthalt von 34°C nicht so schön.

This was my second stay at the Lily Hotel so I knew what to expect. It's a you-get-what-you-pay-for kind of accommodation. It's a run-down place for sure. But I don't think I would have found anything better for the money that I paid in a comparably good location.
Guests who complain about the hotel are generally right, but it has its advantages - the location, private bathrooms and first of all the price.
