Equinox Hotel New York

I would not recommend this hotel. This is not a 5 star hotel experience. The room itself and amenities were fine, however, it was a very disappointing experience. I paid over $1,000 per night and they said they will not clean my room unless I request service because I paid a corporate rate. They also charged me for a meal at the restaurant when in fact I didn't even step foot in their restaurant. I had to spend time disputing that charge and they took that off the bill, however, when I checked the credit card bill, they charged an extra $100 for bar charges when I didn't even touch the bar. The service was terrible, the place is loud and the experience overall is definitely not 5 stars. There are too many good hotels in NYC -- don't waste your time here.

My fiancé and I recently stayed at the Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional as always!

A special thank you to Nathan and also Nicole, the manager of Electric Lemon, for helping me plan the most beautiful rooftop birthday brunch to celebrate my fiancé. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and the setting overlooking the city made the day feel incredibly special.

What truly set this experience apart was the level of hospitality and genuine care we received. Upon arrival, we found champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries waiting in our room, which was such a thoughtful surprise. To make our stay even more memorable, the team gifted us a matching Tiffany & Co. cup set to celebrate our upcoming wedding, a gesture that completely touched our hearts.

The service throughout our stay was warm, attentive, and personalized in a way that is increasingly rare. Nathan and Nicole went above and beyond to create a celebration we’ll never forget.

If you’re looking for a luxury hotel experience in New York City that combines impeccable service with thoughtful personal touches, Equinox Hudson Yards is truly in a class of its own. We can’t wait to return.

Worst experience this is a joke. They need to completely get new management from the Hotel managers to the gym managers.

My stay at the Equinox Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, an experience that truly sets a new standard for luxury, wellness, and service.

From the moment I arrived, the level of attention to detail was evident. The atmosphere is refined yet calming, perfectly aligned with a high-performance lifestyle. What really elevated the stay, however, was the outstanding service from the team. Nathan went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless, anticipating needs before they even arose. His professionalism and genuine care made a lasting impression. Gui from the concierge team was equally remarkable, knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly helpful in curating experiences that enhanced my stay.

The spa was another highlight and deserves special mention. The treatment I received was simply incredible, deeply restorative, expertly delivered, and thoughtfully designed to leave you feeling completely reset. It’s clear that wellness is not just an offering here, but a core philosophy executed at the highest level.

This hotel is simply the best in New York if you care about a balanced stay with health, privacy, and overall service at the forefront. The hotel is tucked away in the beautiful Hudson Yards area. You get the best of a 5 star hotel without the arrogance. The gym and spa teams are fantastic and the pool is an added benefit. Food is healthy and delicious. A cool, dark and quiet nights sleep in one of the best beds I've ever slept in is necessary for recharging on a busy and chaotic trip in the worlds busiest city. I couldn't recommend a hotel more.

I recently worked with Jesus to plan an anniversary surprise at Equinox Hotel and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish he made the entire booking and planning process seamless and genuinely enjoyable. It's rare to work with someone who brings that level of care and attention to detail — he took what could have been a stressful planning process and made it feel effortless. Jesus is the reason I'll be coming back. If you're looking to make a special occasion truly memorable, ask for him. Five stars without hesitation.

Well located hotel for my business trip and in a nice part of NYC. You enter the hotel at ground level through a small somewhat dark entrance to two small lifts. You have to go to L25 to check in then up a separate lift bank of two small lifts to get to your room. Entrance and process uninspiring, not welcoming and not 5 star. Check in was efficient and friendly if a little clinical.

Room was very nice - very clean, modern, large ‘double bed’ comprising 2 large singles put together with separate duvets. Very large shower area and bathroom and plenty of space. Nice smelling shampoo, body wash, etc. draws were filled with lots of Equinox gym related products you could buy at silly high prices if you are dumb enough to do so and also available were condoms, vibrators, etc should you so desire. All sorts of fruit teas also available but no normal tea, no milk, etc. No ironing board nor iron so I called for them and got them no problem. No hairdryer for some reason but there was a steamer for de- creasing my clothes. I would guess that a hairdryer in each room would be used much more often that a steamer but maybe I am wrong.

Bed reasonably comfortable, pillows too thin and soft and poor/erratic air con each night caused me to wake up very hot. I would not want to experience that at the height of the New York heat. Lighting in the room very good. If you are travelling on business and want to work in the room, note there is no desk nor proper chair - not sure why not. There is a massive Equinox gym on Level 4 free for guests to use with all the equipment you could ever hope to use. Opens at 5:30 (I went each day at that time) and is packed pretty much all day with locals who are full members. Main membership seems to be very image and fitness conscious twenty somethings so not for a guest who may want a quiet workout.

I had in-room dining one evening. Food was ok, but nothing special but very, very pricey. I ate out the others nights. Did not bother with breakfast in the hotel too- ridiculously expensive so I bought outside - loads of options nearby at a fraction of the price.

Overall this really is a massive gym with a pool and spa, a bar for people to meet in and eat ……….with a hotel added on. Guests are just a lucrative part of the foot fall. Service is friendly and efficient but not personal. No hotel lobby to relax in, get a drink at the bar, etc and the need to take two sets of lifts to go up and down from your room becomes very irritating over a few days. Eat out. Gym great but super busy all the time. Aircon needs sorting.

Would I stay here again? Only for the location if necessary.

After several visits between October, November, December, and most recently April, I can say with complete conviction that the Equinox Hotel and Spa have perfected not only hospitality but holistic human performance. Without ever asking, they anticipated my preferences for breakfast, lighting, and even my workout schedule. Over just a handful of visits, they curated my environment so well that it mirrored my daily life perfectly — almost algorithmically precise yet incredibly human.
Working out in E Club at 3am, fighting off jet lag, felt less like an inconvenience and more like a privilege — the atmosphere was charged, calm, and inspiring. The energy of the space makes you feel like an athlete in training for the ultimate competition: life itself. That vision permeates everything Equinox touches — wellness, performance, rest, recovery — all intelligently orchestrated so your body and mind move in sync.
The Equinox Spa is transformative. Cycling through the infrared sauna, MLXI3 dome, and cryotherapy created a regenerative sequence that felt almost alchemical — as if my body was reset molecule by molecule. You don’t simply leave restored; you leave renewed — sharper, calmer, and unmistakably better. It’s wellness elevated to a new realm.
What stands out most is the deep personalization powered by data and genuine human insight. Nathan and the team didn’t just provide service — they understood my lifestyle and crafted each moment to support it. After multiple stays within several months, the continuity of care felt like having a private butler team that understands when to engage and when silence itself is the luxury.

We are especially thankful for the girl’s help at the reception, who very carefully took all our wishes into account, and was incredibly professional. The breakfasts were delicious, the location was great.
