Careful, Owner asks for a higher price than the price you see on booking.com

The owner asks for a higher price than the price showing on booking.com. apparently that's because of the commission she has to pay in USD if you book in USD and the exchange rate being different. That's something that never happened to me before and I booked on booking.com many times. She asked for 799k instead of 734k kịp. After discussing it with her we paid the original price in VND as that's the currency we booked in.
So it just feels sketchy and I wouldn't recommend booking this place.
The room itself is okay, the window view is just a wall, the beds are fine, the ac works well, very old TV we didn't use.
For breakfast you can chose a dish and a drink, the food was okay.
Dopo aver attraversato il Laos,e toccato svariate citta',posso dire con assoluta certezza ,che non ho trovato un hotel che si potesse minimamente avvicinare ai pregi di Elephant Boutique Hotel,e lo consiglio a tutti.Mi sono trovato con una giovane coppia e la loro dolce bimba ad avere un rapporto eccezionale .Sempre pronti ad aiutarti e a rispondere a tutti gli interrogativi che un cliente pone..Approfitto per ringraziarli di nuovo e Salutarli facendo loro tanti Auguri..

Das Hotel ist nicht mitten im Zentrum von Luang Prabang, aber genügend Nahe, dass man alle wichtigen Dinge zu Fuss erreichen kann! Durch die Lage ist es eher Ruhig und das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Wir konnten einige Touren direkt bei Ihnen buchen und sie haben geschaut, dass auch alles klappt!
Good location and very helpful staff
All was good
Close to the centre, 5 minute walk to the night markets. Beds were comfy and shower was lovely. Super dark room which we liked! Aircon and fan kept the room nice and cool. Can hear outside noise from our room, so walls are not soundproof, but it didn’t really bother us. Breakfast was nice. Great place to stay for a few days in Luang Prabang, it’s family run and has a nice feel to it

The location was good.
We were kept up until 3am due to the hotel having a RAT running about.
The first room we checked into we noticed rat droppings and our water bottle was chewed. They moved us, then moved another guest into the room with the rat!!! The rat was running around the hotel. Completely disgusting. And when we raised this with the staff they didn’t seem shocked at all. We asked to speak to a manger but they said this was ‘not possible’. We also asked for a refund but we were given 100.000 kip to get a coffee…

The staff were very friendly & helpful. Entrance area was very clean.
The shower hadn’t been cleaned, there were hairs & mud all over the walls.
We had blood on our bedsheets & pillows, so had to ask for new ones.
Towels were old and stained.
